[plasmashell] [Bug 469648] New: Gap left between cascading submenus
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=469648 Bug ID: 469648 Summary: Gap left between cascading submenus Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: 5.27.4 Platform: openSUSE OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Application Menu (Kicker) Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: banderson19...@san.rr.com Target Milestone: 1.0 Created attachment 158876 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=158876=edit Screenshot showing gap between 2nd and 3rd menus SUMMARY *** There is sometimes a gap left between succeeding levels of cascading menus such that the cursor has to be moved across it quickly or the submenu is closed. *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create a three level menu in the Application Menu widget. In my case I have Multimedia->Media Editor->[applications] 2. Move the cursor onto desired submenu entry (in my case Multimedia->Media Editor) 3. When the submenu appears notice that there is a gap between the second level menu and the third. 4. Move the cursor slowly towards the new submenu and when it hits the gap, the menu disappears. OBSERVED RESULT If you are too slow, the menu you want disappears EXPECTED RESULT The cursor should move smoothly onto the submenu no matter how slow you move the cursor. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: openSUSE Tumbleweed version 20230509. Kernel 6.3.1-1 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.105.0 Qt Version: 5.15.9 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION A screenshot is attached. The most obvious place to see the gap is where the edge of the highlighted entry in the first menu can be seen between the second menu and the third menu. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[i18n] [Bug 468746] "schermafdruk - zig met opnem" in Spectacle 23.04
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=468746 --- Comment #5 from PK --- (In reply to Freek de Kruijf from comment #1) > Is "Opnemen bezig" van gemaakt. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=467812 --- Comment #16 from HankB --- I tried to change the status to something other than "worksforme" because it does not. [kdeconnect] [Bug 469617] MPRIS receivers/controllers are ignoring playback rate to extrapolate current play position
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=469617 --- Comment #1 from Andy Holmes --- I'd like to put in my two cents here, having struggled with many players claiming MPRIS compliance. The reality is that there 1-2 players at any given time that correctly implement the full interface, especially when it comes to the playback position. It would very much preferable to just have clients update the position property more frequently in this case, rather than try to support more of the MPRIS interface explicitly. Playback rates other than 1.0 are pretty uncommon, usually only occur for short periods of time (i.e. seeking), and re-using the `pos` field would be backwards compatible. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kmail2] [Bug 461400] Kmail stays offline after wakeup from suspend to ram
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=461400 --- Comment #33 from ioo+...@posteo.net --- To followup on my last post where I pasted the errors from the syslogs. This is what I have found: Akonadi is trying to look at /ActiveConnection/3, /ActiveConnection/4 and /ActiveConnection/5 but the actual connection is from 'nmcli connection show connectionName' is: GENERAL.DBUS-PATH: /org/freedesktop/NetworkManager/ActiveConnection/22 So why is akonadi looking at a phantom active connection to determine the network status? This would explain why it never comes online when resuming from sleep, because these active connection don't exist. Where does it get this active connection from and how can I set it to look at the correct current active connection? AI chatbot suggest creating a --user systemd service and running akonadictl restart when the computer resumes from sleep however this only fixes half the problem because I would still have to manually update the mailboxes by right clicking and selecting "Update this folder..." as these mailboxes remain offline even after doing a akonadictl restart. It would be nice to address the root cause of this issue, if someone knows where akonadi gets those wrong D-Bus object paths from. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kmail2] [Bug 461400] Kmail stays offline after wakeup from suspend to ram

Yes I can confirm this, for me it is every Akonadi resource so mailboxes, calendars, reminder agents, notifiers, mail dispatch agents, notes, card and cal dav etc. Its a real pain because I have to manually start each resource every time resuming from sleep then for mail I have to manually update the mailboxes. Its been broken like this on and off for years. I'm surprised the issue has persisted this long. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[Spectacle] [Bug 462860] Rectangle capture modes have wrong GUI sizing and positioning with fractional scaling
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=462860 --- Comment #26 from indecisiveautoma...@gmail.com --- The issue is also still affecting me with Spectacle 23.04.1. My left-most display is 150% scaled, my other three displays are all unscaled 1080p displays. The issue I am experiencing is slightly different to the attachment on this issue, Bug 468785 has a screenshot (horizontal alignment is correct but vertical alignment is not). In my case as well, I have my displays with three along the bottom and one at the top in the center. [kwin] [Bug 469555] 7c91c4bad9ee709eebfdf9d5b3997fa00ca7cd13 causes cursor to not snap back to center in Minecraft
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=469555 --- Comment #8 from Vlad Zahorodnii --- It only partially reverts 7c91c4bad9ee709eebfdf9d5b3997fa00ca7cd13. Also, are there other affected games? Ideally, free ones and that don't need a lot of disk space It appears Apex Legends is a free one, but it requires a lot of disk space (and I presume requires a lot of time to download it depending on the internet connection) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[Spectacle] [Bug 469637] New: Restore Spectacle GUI button shortcuts
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=469637 Bug ID: 469637 Summary: Restore Spectacle GUI button shortcuts Classification: Applications Product: Spectacle Version: 23.04.0 Platform: Neon OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: General Assignee: noaha...@gmail.com Reporter: k...@callthecomputerdoctor.com CC: k...@david-redondo.de Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY In the version prior to Spectacle 23.04, I could hold down the Alt key and I'd see an underline appear on the GUI interface so that I could see which key to press to activate the button. For example, if I wanted to activate the Save button, I'd hold down the Alt key and then see that S was underlined in the Save button. Easy and consistent with other KDE/Qt software. With the new 23.04 version, that has been removed. Through experimentation, I have found that the equivalent is (was always?) Ctrl+S. So I can retrain myself to press Ctrl-S to save my screenshots, which at least I'm happy that possibility exists. Strangely, in the Configure... -> Shortcuts tab, there is no shortcut for Ctrl-S. Can this hidden keyboard shortcut at least be made configurable in the Shortcuts interface? Or is this the interface for the global desktop shortcuts? And if so, could Spectacle gain the Ctrl-Alt-I shortcut for the excellent "Find Action..." popup that exists in other KDE apps? STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Invoke Spectacle 2. Press Alt-S (to invoke Save button) OBSERVED RESULT Nothing happens. EXPECTED RESULT Should invoke Save as if clicking on the button. My suggestion is that the common usability behavior be restored/reimplemented and that the shortcuts exist among other keyboard shortcuts. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: KDE neon 5.27 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.105.0 Qt Version: 5.15.9 Kernel Version: 5.19.0-41-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
