Committed on 18/10/2023 at 12:13. Pushed by ratijas into branch 'master'. AbstractApplication*: Fix reparenting of drawers, Clean up bindings Querying T.Overlay.overlay attached property on a Binding object was clearly wrong. It just resulted in null at all times, so basically those Bindings never took effect. Since `when:` condition does not make much sense (first, those properties could never be undefined; second, why reparenting only when visible?), let's demote them into a property change handlers with null guards. For other bindings, pointless `when` check was removed as well as deprecated (and yet again pointless) restoreMode. [krita] [Bug 475562] krita segfaults on start after displaying the splash screen
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=475562 --- Comment #18 from Timo Gurr --- (In reply to Lynx3d from comment #17) > The file is 'ITUR_2100_PQ_FULL.ICC' > It should be in: /share/color/icc/krita/ Thanks for the information, as you can see from my attached full list above I do have the file in /usr/share/color/icc/krita/ITUR_2100_PQ_FULL.ICC however strace shows the path is missing from kritas search path locations as it does search in e.g. /usr/share/krita/color/icc but not /usr/share/color/icc/krita. As "../share" does not work for our cross setup as we have arch-independent stuff in /usr/share, but arch-depedendent stuff installed to prefix /usr/. As I can see e.g. /usr/share/krita//color/icc in addition to ../share/krita//color/icc/ I hope the missing /usr/share/color/icc search path can be added as another alternative for ../share//color/icc as well. statx(AT_FDCWD, "/home/domain/user/.local/share/krita//color/icc", AT_STATX_SYNC_AS_STAT|AT_NO_AUTOMOUNT, STATX_ALL, 0x7ffd8d398580) = -1 ENOENT (Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden) statx(AT_FDCWD, "/usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/share/krita//color/icc", AT_STATX_SYNC_AS_STAT|AT_NO_AUTOMOUNT, STATX_ALL, 0x7ffd8d398580) = -1 ENOENT (Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden) statx(AT_FDCWD, "/home/domain/user/.local/share/flatpak/exports/share/krita//color/icc", AT_STATX_SYNC_AS_STAT|AT_NO_AUTOMOUNT, STATX_ALL, 0x7ffd8d398580) = -1 ENOENT (Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden) statx(AT_FDCWD, "/var/lib/flatpak/exports/share/krita//color/icc", AT_STATX_SYNC_AS_STAT|AT_NO_AUTOMOUNT, STATX_ALL, 0x7ffd8d398580) = -1 ENOENT (Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden) statx(AT_FDCWD, "/usr/local/share/krita//color/icc", AT_STATX_SYNC_AS_STAT|AT_NO_AUTOMOUNT, STATX_ALL, 0x7ffd8d398580) = -1 ENOENT (Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden) statx(AT_FDCWD, "/usr/share/krita//color/icc", AT_STATX_SYNC_AS_STAT|AT_NO_AUTOMOUNT, STATX_ALL, 0x7ffd8d398580) = -1 ENOENT (Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden) openat(AT_FDCWD, "/usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/../share//color/icc/", O_RDONLY|O_NONBLOCK|O_CLOEXEC|O_DIRECTORY) = -1 ENOENT (Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden) openat(AT_FDCWD, "/usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/../share//color/icc/", O_RDONLY|O_NONBLOCK|O_CLOEXEC|O_DIRECTORY) = -1 ENOENT (Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden) openat(AT_FDCWD, "/usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/../share/krita//color/icc/", O_RDONLY|O_NONBLOCK|O_CLOEXEC|O_DIRECTORY) = -1 ENOENT (Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden) openat(AT_FDCWD, "/usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/../share/krita//color/icc/", O_RDONLY|O_NONBLOCK|O_CLOEXEC|O_DIRECTORY) = -1 ENOENT (Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden) openat(AT_FDCWD, "/usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/../share/.", O_RDONLY|O_NONBLOCK|O_CLOEXEC|O_DIRECTORY) = 35 For testing as a workaround I created a symlink # mkdir -p /usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/share/ # ln -s /usr/share/color /usr/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/share/color and krita is able to successfully launch without crashing. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[filelight] [Bug 475781] New: Prompt the encountered permission problems after scanning with non-root user
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=475781 Bug ID: 475781 Summary: Prompt the encountered permission problems after scanning with non-root user Classification: Applications Product: filelight Version: 22.08.3 Platform: Other OS: Other Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org Reporter: c...@cyano.uk CC: martin.sandsm...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 162401 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=162401=edit filelight showing access deined messages in the terminal during a root filesystem scan with normal user SUMMARY When running as the normal user, if we are scanning the entire root directory, any permission problems are ignored and never shown to the user after collecting usage information. The error message is only visible in the stdout if running from a terminal. Besides that, the result might be inaccurate if those directories contain any files, which is always less than the actual usage. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Make a directory as root, with permission 0700 (makes it unreadable to other users) 2. Put some large files in it (in order to make some difference between scans with and without root) 2. Start filelight as the normal user 3. Start scan OBSERVED RESULT No error window is shown, and the scan is performed as the directories and files that have insufficient permissions do not exist, thus generating an inaccurate result. If run in a terminal, permission errors are printed to stdout, as shown in the attachment. EXPECTED RESULT There are two possible ways to improve this behavior: 1. Filelight shows a warning window, which contains the directories it can not read, and tells the user that the result might be inaccurate. 2. Filelight prompts the user to run filelight as the superuser if such file or directory is encountered. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: AOSC OS 11.0.1 KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.103.0 Qt Version: 5.15.5 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Here are some examples of possible directories unreadable or unexecutable to normal users, and may have significant disk space usage: - Some directories in /var/log - /var/lib/machines (systemd-nspawn(1) containers) - /var/lib/docker - /var/lib/libvirt -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[valgrind] [Bug 475780] New: helgrind and drd: undefined symbol for shared library which calls pthread_mutex_init with attribute
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=475780 Bug ID: 475780 Summary: helgrind and drd: undefined symbol for shared library which calls pthread_mutex_init with attribute Classification: Developer tools Product: valgrind Version: 3.21.0 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: helgrind Assignee: jsew...@acm.org Reporter: piotr.troja...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 162400 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=162400=edit Script and code to reproduce the problem SUMMARY When the application loads a shared library that calls pthread_mutex_init with its second parameter "attr" being other than NULL, then helgrind and drd die with message: undefined symbol: pthread_mutexattr_gettype STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. extract the attached archive and execute ./run.sh 2. this will build the shared library and a program that loads it 3. then it will run the valgrind tools that die OBSERVED RESULT ./load: symbol lookup error: vgpreload_drd-amd64-linux.so: undefined symbol: ./load: symbol lookup error: vgpreload_helgrind-amd64-linux.so: undefined symbol: pthread_mutexattr_gettyp EXPECTED RESULT The script should only print debug output about activating the shared library code. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux: Debian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye), x86_64 Valgrind Version: 3.21.0 (compiled from source) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I guess the problem is that the interceptors in helgrind/hg_intercepts.c and drd/drd_pthread_intercepts.c call pthread_mutexattr_gettype, which fails to be dynamically loaded by the vgpreload_helgrind-amd64-linux.so and vgpreload_drd-amd64-linux.so libraries. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
