[kmymoney] [Bug 437168] New: In Payees view Balance shown is always zero

2021-05-15 Thread Graham Davies
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=437168

Bug ID: 437168
Summary: In Payees view Balance shown is always zero
   Product: kmymoney
   Version: 5.1.1
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kmymoney-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: gradavies...@fastmail.co.uk
  Target Milestone: ---

Created attachment 138468
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=138468=edit
Screenshot of bottom right of Payees window showing Balance of zero

SUMMARY
In Payees view Balance shown is always zero

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Click on 'Payees'
2. In Transactions tab, select any Payee to see transactions for that Payee
3. View Balance at bottom right

OBSERVED RESULT
Balance for that Payee is always zero.
All transactions for each Payee are shown, but all are double entries i.e.
Payment on one line, followed by Deposit for same amount on next line. These
cancel each other out resulting in net Balance of zero.

EXPECTED RESULT
Balance should be net total payments/receipts for that Payee

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
Linux/KDE Plasma:
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version:
KDE Frameworks Version:
Qt Version:

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Every transaction has double entry e.g. Groceries category payment of £5.00 on
one line, then a second line showing a deposit of £5.00 in Cash account. These
two entries balance each other out resulting in Balance of zero. Payees section
worked correctly until a few months ago, above example would show Balance of
-£5.00, to show £5.00 spent on Groceries category.

[kmymoney] [Bug 395864] Unable to modify or save custom reports

2018-06-25 Thread Graham Davies
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=395864

Hi Jack

Thanks for your quick response.

I've just checked what you asked but was unable to save any reports.

However! It seems that the 'Apply' button in the configure dialog window
is actually labelled 'Find' for some reason. By chance my mouse pointer
showed a tooltip when held over the 'Find' button stating 'Apply the
configuration changes to the report'.
When I clicked on 'Find' it actually applied the changes and I was able
to save the changes with the 'Save' button in the main window. I've
tried modifying and saving several reports.
I've attached a modified screenshot with the relevant button
highlighted in red.
Seems like the 'Find' button in the dialog window needs to be relabelled
as 'Apply'?
Thanks for your help

Graham

Screenshot of dialog window when trying to modify or save report

In Kmymoney 5.0.1-1 unable to either modify or save any custom reports. Select
any report and click 'configure' to modify it. Dialog window opens. Select any
tab in the dialog e.g. Date or Account, etc. Make changes. There is no button
to either apply or save the changes. Buttons across the bottom are Help, Reset,
Find, Close. This happens with both built in reports and reports previously
created with version 4.8.

[kmymoney] [Bug 390128] KMM 5.0 is core dumping when entering any new transaction

Similar problem here running KMyMoney 5.0.0-2 on Antergos x86_64 using
4.15.2-2-ARCH kernel, Gnome Shell 3.26.2.

When I start to enter new transaction KMM crashes when entering the payee and
clicking on an existing payee in the drop down list. But if I type in the full
name of an existing payee and press tab, it is accepted and a new entry can be
made. Other fields for new entry can then be completed with no problem.

I've tried using the transaction input form and entering the data directly into
the transaction list. Same problem with both methods.

I've also switched from Wayland to Xorg, same problem.
