@Vlad Zahorodnii
The described issue still reproduces for me with SOME of cursors, like 'wait'
from 'breeze'.
It also happens with my own cursor theme 'hand of evil' (searchable and
installable via kde built-in tools).
I have 175% scale set up in settings, I suspect it only happens for cursors of
size greater than some treshold. 'wait' cursor in my theme is 4MB in xcursor
format

Sadly, I cannot answer your question anymore. I've updated the base layer of

and I cannot reproduce the issue anymore after update.

[frameworks-kglobalaccel] [Bug 483541] New: Running from the keyboard shortcut erases SSH_AUTH_SOCK from env

2024-03-14 Thread Grief
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=483541

Bug ID: 483541
Summary: Running from the keyboard shortcut erases
SSH_AUTH_SOCK from env
Classification: Frameworks and Libraries
   Product: frameworks-kglobalaccel
   Version: 6.0.0
  Platform: Neon
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdelibs-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: iamgr...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. systemsettings → shortcurs → add new
2. it seems to be reproducible with both .desktop files and scripts
3. let's say it's script with this contest: shabang + `env >> /tmp/test.log`

OBSERVED RESULT
the printed env does not contain SSH_AUTH_SOCK variable. That leads to the
situation when the IDE that was started from krunner or start menu works
perfectly, but if you run it from the keyboard shortcut it is unable to connect
to ssh agent

EXPECTED RESULT
The app, started with the press of the key sequence must be able to connect to
ssh agent

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: KDE neon 6.0
KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.0.0
Qt Version: 6.6.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

It was working until plasma 6 upgrade

On one hand I want to thank you for this information. Assigning hotkeys to the
konsole shortcuts moves cursor to a new pane. And headers make it looking a bit
better (IMHO)

On the other hand:
- ctrl+tab doesn't work between panes made on the konsole's end.
- there is a button 'move a new tab' in the headers of konsole's panes. if you
press it in console, all other panels become hidden without new tab appeared in
yakuake's tab list

2024-02-24 Thread Grief
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356604

I'd like to add that when the panel is vertical, color picker grows too much
(attached a screenshot). Having an option to set the scale in the widget
settings would help much with this issue.

Having a checkbox to change between horizontal and vertical layout
independently of the orientation of the parent panel would be also useful.

Screenshot of the issue

SUMMARY
On KDE Neon I experience heavy graphical issues when running the system in
vmware or virtualbox with 3d acceleration enabled. Glitches are only appear in
plasmashell, I can run steam, play games, watch webgl in firefox without an
issue after I `kquitapp5 plasmashell`. No issues when I run the system on a
bare metal (nvidia gtx1080 with open source driver) or with 3d acceleration
disabled. I didn't experience issues earlier on the same setup, it started to
reproduce somewhere in 5.18-5.20 update.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install vmware workstation, enable 3d acceleration in it
2. Install kde neon inside

OBSERVED RESULT

plasmashell glithes

EXPECTED RESULT

plasmashell works without glitching

I dobt it - sans doesn't look monospace while mono does. Again, it only
reproducible in konsole/yakuake, I use that font everywhere in the system.

Also, sans doesn't even appear in the list of available fonts in konsole.

And I'd like to add that 'Input Mono' - is ok. I just noticed it while trying
different Input font styles. The issue appears only With Input Condensed,
Compressed, Narrow etc.

Bug ID: 379494
Summary: Konsole renders font in incorrect width on startup
   Product: konsole
   Version: 17.04.0
  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: font
  Assignee: konsole-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: iamgr...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

When I use konsole (or yakuake) when the app started, fonts are rendered very
wide, but if I set the font to the exact same font in konsole settings - it
starts to be rendered correctly until the restart. The issue didn't appear in
version 15.12.3 for sure.

I recorded a small video to demonstrate the issue:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=psAeKRFxXv4

The font I am using is Input, it can be downloaded here
http://input.fontbureau.com/preview/

I am experiencing the issue not with every font, but I really like this one and
don't want to change it to ubuntu mono or something. Konsole is the only app in
the system (including other KDE apps) which renders it wrong.

TL;DR: do `export SVGA_VGPU10=0` anywhere so it would be applied to all 3D

reference: https://bugs.launchpad.net/stellarium/+bug/1577494

here (https://github.com/ros-simulation/gazebo_ros_pkgs/issues/457) man says
that this in probably the issue in app itself, not it vmware, but this is
doubtable

also here (https://www.mesa3d.org/vmware-guest.html) page says that the
variable from above "may be useful to work around application bugs (such as
incorrect use of the OpenGL 3.x core profile).", so it might be the reason

[plasmashell] [Bug 360891] Panels are always on top if located on inner borders of multi-monitor configurations

Also, when the panel is attached to the border of secondary or tertiary display
and that display disappeared after a reboot (desconnected), panel disappears as
well until the monitor is connected back

[plasmashell] [Bug 360891] New: Panels are always on top if located on inner borders of multi-monitor configurations

2016-03-23 Thread Grief via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=360891

Bug ID: 360891
Summary: Panels are always on top if located on inner borders
of multi-monitor configurations
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.5.4
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Panel
  Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: iamgr...@gmail.com

Panels are always on top if located on inner borders of multi-monitor
configurations

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. I have three monitors, but it is reproducible with two.
2. Right-click on desktop, create new panel
3. Make it able to be overlapped by other windows in its additional settings.
4. Put the panel to any screen border which is middle between several monitors,
so mouse pointer can go through it.
5. The panel always remains on top instead of being overlapped.

On far screen borders it works as expected though.
