[kdenlive] [Bug 481602] New: [Feature Request] Add duration for Mark and Guide
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=481602 Bug ID: 481602 Summary: [Feature Request] Add duration for Mark and Guide Classification: Applications Product: kdenlive Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: User Interface Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: master.lee...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Add the capability of the mark and guide include time range instead only a timestamp/one frame. So, want I mean is the developers were going to add a "sub-feature" for Marks and Guide. WHY? I create livestream highlight cuts and in order to achieve that I first watch the whole livestream. I use marks for list this good moments, but most of time, a moment is a time range. If I want to list this section, I need create two marks, one for beginning and one for ending. It slow down my workflow, since I always need rename the marks to describe what's happens. Another motivation would be: this is a common feature between the professional proprietary Video Editors - and really useful. I GUESS THERE IS A SHORTCUT TO ADD IT... I know that Shotcut video editor allow you add duration for mark. Since that KDEnlive and Shotcut have components in common, maybe the developers could get shortcut to implement this feature for marks in KDEnlive checking the Shotcut source - sorry if I saying something really stupid. ISN'T "INSERT ZONE IN PROJECT BIN" ENOUGH? I know about the "Insert Zone in Project Bin" feature, but it's slow when I handle with a long livestream (at least, 5 hours). Also, when I select the sub-clip for rename, I need select it in Project Bin and it make me lose the waveform zoom in Clip Monitor and always need redo the zooming, what's really annoying. And, marks and guides can be export from KDEnlive, what's really cool, but "Inserted Zone" not. HOW WOULD THIS WORK? When you to add a mark, the dialog box now have field to type the beginning and the ending point of the mark. By default, mark would keep one frame time range as soon as add. "SUB" FEATURE REQUEST? Also, if I may request one more thing about this stuff, it would be so amazing if the developers add a function to add mark and guide with the same range as the zone are set in timeline or clip monitor. I mean, the mark already would be filled with the beginning point the same as zone in point and the ending point the same as zone out point. Actually, this sub feature request is a feature available in DaVinci Resolve video editor, but it is so useful. THAT IS IT! Thank you for read till here and also for all effort to make the KDEnlive. After make the whole text, I found out this feature already was request: Report already sent in Bug Tracker - https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=415987 Discussion in Gitlab - https://invent.kde.org/multimedia/kdenlive/-/issues/614 But I sent this report for reinforce the request... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[kdenlive] [Bug 474818] New: Feature Request: Add function to maximize the Clip Monitor Waveform Zoom and make this state persistent.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=474818 Bug ID: 474818 Summary: Feature Request: Add function to maximize the Clip Monitor Waveform Zoom and make this state persistent. Classification: Applications Product: kdenlive Version: 23.08.1 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: User Interface Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: master.lee...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- THANK YOU Hi, there. First, thank you all the developers and all users involved with KDEnlive project. I thought about this feature, but, since I am not developer and I don't know the difficult to develop things, I found the easiest way to create this feature would be "recycle" what we already have. FEATURE REQUEST Create some "action", (sorry, I don't know the right word) to maximize the waveform zoom in clip monitor. This "action" would localize in clip monitor hamburger options (More Options...). The possibility to add some custom keyboard shortcut would be so cool too. And, the most important thing, this state of waveform zoom must be persistent, when change to other clips, until the user "return" to default behavior. With persistent, I mean: today, with the KDEnlive 23.08.1, if you zoom in the clip monitor waveform with Ctrl + scroll the mouse wheel down (only way to do this, as far as I know), and select other clip in Project Bin, the state of clip monitor waveform will reset to lowest zoom (it zoom out completely). WHY ADD IT? I think it feature would be nice since almost of time, I make decoupage work to my projects, creating marks and organize the content with "Insert Zone to Project Bin" feature. Mainly when I take use of "Insert Zone to Project Bin", I feel the need of "persistent" behavior: if you create some "clip" with "Insert Zone to Project Bin" and want rename, when you select it, the zoom of clip monitor waveform will be lost. So, when you come back to the clip what you making the decoupage, it will necessary to maximize the zoom with Ctrl + scroll the mouse wheel down, what take so many time and it's really annoying to do. FINAL THOUGHT I describe the core about this feature, so feel free to modify. You could tell me to add the clip to the timeline and make the decoupage task there, but the clip monitor is more convenient and you don't need overcharge the sequence with clips (ok, you have the nested timeline and the possibility to dedicate only one sequence to this process, but this feature is in your first steps and I do not feel confident to use this "way".) I really appreciate if you read here, since I took time to translate to English (my mother language is Portuguese, :P ). Digikam told me that the folder where I wanted to put my photos didn't exists anymore. This is true, the network share wasn't mounted! But my problem was that the files I moved from my local storage were not displayed anymore in digikam: where were my pictures!? After encountering some integrity issues with my tags tree, I migrated to mysql to benefit of the InnoDB (5.7.23-0ubuntu0.18.04.1, locally listening) My database is composed of two collections, one locally stored, another one stored on a CIFS network share. It is composed of 25k pictures, 66% as raw files, the remaining files are shared between JPG, and movies files. I'm a bit surprised of the time taken by applying filters: it will takes more than 5 minutes to display 480 pictures: During this period, CPU usage of MySQL reach 100% and digikam CPU usage is aroun 40%. My MYSQL configuration don't use sockets, and is quite the default one except the max_allowed_packet which has been improved for the digikam usage to 128M. I had a look on the queries made to view if there are some improvements I could do to improve the digikam usage and I saw that most of the time is spent when doing the following statement (1358841 queries): SELECT object FROM ImageRelations INNER JOIN Images ON ImageRelations.object=Images.id WHERE subject=? AND type=2 AND status!=3 But I have only 4 records in the ImageRelations table. Perhaps there is some technical improvments which could be done on this part. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=396352 --- Comment #3 from Mat --- Hello Maik, Many thanks for this quick answer: I was thinking that all the available tags listed in the Settings > Configure digikam > Metadata > Views where fully operational, sorry. If this is not the case, this issue has to be closed. Regards -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[digikam] [Bug 396305] New: Being able to find which files which doesn't already have author, copyright, and locations tags
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=396305 Bug ID: 396305 Summary: Being able to find which files which doesn't already have author, copyright, and locations tags Product: digikam Version: 5.9.0 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Searches-Advanced Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: erme...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Hi there, Fews days ago, I reported you that I encounter some difficulties to set author, copyright and location due to the way is designed this part of the templates in metadatas. In this context, I use for now exiftool to process them. I was thinking being able to find which files doesn't already have author, which files doesn't have a location, and which files doesn't already have a copyright notice from the advanced search. But it seems that we are able to find files which match a value, and not find files which haven't a value (like image as no tag, or image has not been geolocalized). Do you think you could add this feature in a next release? Many thanks for your job! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[digikam] [Bug 396234] Add a feature which allow to switch latitude and longitude
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=396234 --- Comment #2 from Mat --- Hello, I copy latitude and longitude from google maps. Ex: if I geotag from google maps this point: https://www.google.com/maps/place/41%C2%B018'21.2%22S+175%C2%B003'45.8%22E/@-41.305883,175.060515,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x0:0x0!7e2!8m2!3d-41.3058834!4d175.0627085 I copy the "-41.305883, 175.062709" text displayed in the google map page. If I copy this field in a text editor, it will be well displayed as "-41.305883, 175.062709". If I copy it in the geolocalisation editor, latitude will be 175, and longitude -41. Anyway it's not the main problem. After being able to identify all files I geotagged in this way (means latitude and longitude are inverted), if I wants to fix that I have to open all files in the geolocalisation editor and for each of them: - copy the latitude and longitude - open a text editor - remplace the latitude by the longitude and vice versa - past the field content into the geolocalisation editor by this way, I'm not sure I don't loose some precision in geolocalisation too. I know that I can drag and drop on the map. But the map is too small for me. This is the reason why I use the google map page instead: map is larger. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[digikam] [Bug 396234] New: Add a feature which allow to switch latitude and longitude
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=396234 Bug ID: 396234 Summary: Add a feature which allow to switch latitude and longitude Product: digikam Version: 5.9.0 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Geolocation-Editor Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: erme...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Hi there, I discovered usage of the geolocalization editor which is really powerful (except that it cannot write on raw files). Because sometimes I wants to use google map instead to find a geolocalization (because there is a street view, because interface is larger), I copied lat and long found in google maps in the geolocalization editor. But I've seen that when doing that, lat and long are inverted. Having a feature which allow to select pictures to invert and select invert lat and long in the editor would be really time helpful. [digikam] [Bug 395094] New: Dissociate rights, locations, contacts and subjects
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=395094 Bug ID: 395094 Summary: Dissociate rights, locations, contacts and subjects Product: digikam Version: 5.9.0 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Metadata-Template Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: erme...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Hi there, Templates are an easy way to process both rights, locations, etc But it became very difficult to manage if you want to apply different kind of locations / creators / rights: we have to create a full template each time. For example if I wants to apply two kind of license files (creative commons, and full copyrighted) for 2 creators, I have to create 4 templates. If we also add the locations inside, the number of templates will grow very quickly. With separate rights, creators data and locations would be very useful to reduce number of templates. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Why? Due to the complexity of the raw format and some important issues with this kind of files you have disabled writing metadata in raw files. It's a shame for me because I shoot only in raw. My tests have show that on my cr2 files, exiftool is able to write metadatas. So I would like to write them with exiftool (either by collecting them from your database, or by settings them manually in exiftool command line params). Having an option which allow to select some filespaths from digikam would be very time earning in this task. Regards -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
