The developers are either incapable or simply do not want to reintroduce this function, which has been almost traditional since KDE3 and KDE4 and is eagerly desired by the vast majority of users. The wishes of the users are no longer being taken into account, the decline of KDE/Plasma that has been taking place since the last KDE4 versions continues unabated. Apparently, developers are not able to look beyond their own telescope and recognize that the user interface is the interface to the user and is therefore decisive for the acceptance of an operating system. It is not without reason that Linux with KDE has been on everyone's lips worldwide since the end of the 3rd version at the latest, but certainly since the middle of the 4th version, and has been unanimously praised for its performance and configurability and has also led to an increase in Linux users (if you don't believe it, you can look at the unanimous statistics). However, this is currently a long way off. With the introduction of the first 5 versions, it was believed that we had fallen victim to a developer version that had been castrated in all respects. Today we know that the status of the end of KDE4 is infinitely far removed from the current plasma mess and will probably never be reached. I personally lived Linux and KDE. When I realized that the ignorance and unwillingness towards the users has now been seen here, I left the ship by and large - a fatal situation, I know that I am not the only one. I run the same test client in Mutter with fractional scaling and it looked fine. Environment completion: only insert newline when necessary
This change makes a newline to be inserted after \end{env} only if there
was text to
the right of the cursor when the user pressed enter. It also makes sure
the newline respects the existing indentation.
The special case of `\[...\]` is also handled.

Environment completion: don't use virtual cursor position
What we actually need here is the real cursor position (where tab is
counted as one character) rather than the virtual cursor position (where
tab can count as multiple characters depending on the user's config).
This commit makes sure that \end{env} is inserted in the right place
even when the user uses tabs for indentation.

Actually I didn't get why this bug is so irrelevant for KDE (don't see this as a feature but a bug). See 3 points where this bug affects the users: 1. Energy consumption once turn off the screen will use the energy efficiently; 2. New displays like OLEDs need to be in the stand-by mode to be able to execute the pixel refresh to avoid burn-in; 3. Don't see logic on allow the display be turned on in a black screen with clock (there is an option to disable the clock) and the cursor. I'm a MacOS and Gnome user, both DE turn off the screen on the lock screen. @jonathan opened https://invent.kde.org/plasma/powerdevil/-/merge_requests/142 to implement this 1 month ago, pushed a commit and that's it, nothing happen. I see a https://www.bountysource.com/issues/72539369-turn-off-screen-after-lock-screen that I can add $50 as well but I don't think money is the real problem here. I was happy, like you, about the complete package Linux with KDE up to version 4, which was probably the crowning glory and left hardly any wishes. Professionally I started first with Lotus 1-2-3 and later with IBM/38 and AS400B40 with RPG, RPG2 and Cobol and later held only trainings for a long time. So I took the opportunity, whenever it came up, to introduce Linux with KDE to people. For this I had a perfectly running Linux PC with first the last KDE3 versions, which were also great, and later with KDE4 versions in the training room and brought many people to wonder and to Linux. But that's in the past. After that it went downhill with the team Linux and KDE. The first Plasma versions were only a poor copy compared to KDE4 and it improved only a little, especially many functions disappeared from KDE and related software, so I decided this year to turn my back on KDE and Linux. They are not only ruining their own software, but also a large part of Linux for desktop installations.
