[plasmashell] [Bug 371127] plasmashell and powerdevil crash on logout/reboot/shutdown
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371127 --- Comment #7 from S. Christian Collins--- The powerdevil crash doesn't happen using "kquitapp plasmashell", only on an actual logout. Is there anywhere this crash information gets stored, or is it just lost when the system shuts down before drkonqi can be activated? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[frameworks-kconfig] [Bug 371130] unable to reassign standard shortcut for backspace to "up" instead of "back"
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371130 --- Comment #2 from S. Christian Collins--- I'm not sure if kconfig is actually responsible, but I saw other, similar bug reports assigned to frameworks-kconfig, so I followed suit. Two additional notes: 1. In the original reproduction instructions, step 2 is unnecessary. 2. If you try to assign backspace to "up" from within Dolphin's "configure shortcuts" menu item, an error pops up saying: "The 'Backspace' shortcut is ambiguous with the following shortcut. Do you want to assign an empty shortcut to this action? Shortcut 'Alt+Left' for action 'Back'" Why 'Backspace' conflicts with 'Alt-Left' is curious, but since this error isn't thrown within the standard shortcuts section in system settings, perhaps this should be re-filed as a Dolphin bug? I can also confirm that this bug is still present in Plasma Desktop 5.8.2. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[frameworks-kconfig] [Bug 371130] unable to reassign standard shortcut for backspace to "up" instead of "back"
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371130 --- Comment #3 from S. Christian Collins--- Oh, and I should also mention that clicking Dolphin's dialog to reassign the shortcut doesn't resolve the conflict. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[frameworks-kconfig] [Bug 371130] New: unable to reassign standard shortcut for backspace to "up" instead of "back"
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371130 Bug ID: 371130 Summary: unable to reassign standard shortcut for backspace to "up" instead of "back" Product: frameworks-kconfig Version: 5.27.0 Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: matt...@mjdsystems.ca Reporter: s_chriscoll...@hotmail.com CC: kdelibs-b...@kde.org Under KDE4, I would always assign the backspace key to the "up" action, rather than "back" as it is my preferred way of navigating in Dolphin. In Plasma Desktop 5.8.1, however, attempting to reassign this key results in an "Ambiguous shortcut detected" warning. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open System Settings -> Shortcuts -> Standard Shortcuts 2. Find the "Back" action (first entry), and disable the alternate shortcut ("Back"). 3. Find the "Up" action, and add the alternate shortcut for the backspace key (will show as "Backspace"). 4. Open Dolphin. Press backspace key twice. Actual Results: First backspace press activates the "up" action, navigating to the parent folder. Subsequent backspace presses will trigger the error, "The key sequence 'Backspace' is ambiguous. Use 'Configure Shortcuts' from the 'Settings' menu to solve the ambiguity. No action will be triggered." Expected Results: I should be able to reassign "backspace" to activate the "up" rather than the "back" action. The "back" shortcut is apparently never getting unassigned in step 2 above. The reason the first keypress in step 4 above seems to work is because there is no valid back action until the first folder navigation is made. Once there is a valid target for "back", pressing the backspace key attempts to activate "back" and "up" at the same time, resulting in the error. I am unable to activate the drkonqi bug reporting tool due to the session logging out shortly after the icons appear. When I log off, I see my desktop panel and icons disappear (which is normal in the logout process), but then the panel and desktop icons reappear along with the aforementioned drkonqi icons in the system tray. Then a couple seconds later, the session ends. This happens on my desktop but not my laptop, both running Plasma 5.8.1 on KDE Neon. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. [kdenlive] [Bug 371064] New: rendering uses proxies even though "render using proxy clips" is disabled
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371064 Bug ID: 371064 Summary: rendering uses proxies even though "render using proxy clips" is disabled Product: kdenlive Version: unspecified Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Video Display & Export Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: s_chriscoll...@hotmail.com If I proxy a clip and then render the project, the proxy ends up being used for the final render, dispete "render using proxy clips" being unchecked in the render options (under "More options"). I have to un-proxy the clip for the source clip to actually be used in the final render. The 16.08.2 release notes mentioned this bug as being fixed (I'm guessing it was a reference to bug #368491?) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Drag a video into Kdenlive's project bin. (Here is the video file I was using to repro this bug: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8126161/audio-video-sync-test.avi) 2. Turn the clip into a proxy and put it on the timeline. 3. Render the project and make sure "render using proxy clips" is de-selected under "More options". I used the default WebM profile for this. Actual Results: The rendered video file is very blurry and the audio is lo-fi from using the proxy clip. Now, de-proxy the clip and render again. Result: high quality video and audio. Expected Results: Proxy clips should not be used for the final render unless "render using proxy clips" is selected. Kdenlive 16.08.2 w/ MLT 6.0.0 OS: KDE Neon 5.8.1 64-bit (Plasma Desktop 5.8.1, KDE Frameworks 5.27.0, Qt 5.7.0) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[kdenlive] [Bug 371062] New: audio on some clips does not match playhead position - only plays later audio, never earlier
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=371062 Bug ID: 371062 Summary: audio on some clips does not match playhead position - only plays later audio, never earlier Product: kdenlive Version: unspecified Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Video Display & Export Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: s_chriscoll...@hotmail.com My screen capture software + codec combination creates video files where the video feed appears to start a bit later than the audio. If I drag one of these video clips to the timeline in Kdenlive and render the project, the resulting video file has no synchronization issues. However, if I try to play the clip in Kdenlive, either through the clip monitor or on the timeline, the audio gets out of sync in a very strange way. Whenever I stop the project and restart playback, the audio jumps forward beyond the current playhead position. If I stop playback and then position the cursor at an earlier point, the audio playback will still resume from a later point. In fact, the audio is never able to go back to an earlier point of playback. If you keep playing, starting, stopping, rewinding, etc., eventually, the duration of the clip's audio will have been played, and any further attempts to play the clip will result in nothing but silence. The previous version of Kdenlive that I was using (don't remember--it was pre KF5) did not have this problem, although I had to trim the beginning of the clip a few seconds once imported onto the timeline if I wanted the audio and video to be in sync. I edited many screencasts in that version of Kdenlive without issues. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Download the following video and import it into Kdenlive's project bin: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8126161/audio-video-sync-test.avi 2. Play the clip either by A) playing it in the clip monitor, or B) dragging it onto a track and playing the project. 3. Occasionally stop playback and reposition the playhead (both earlier and later) Actual Results: The audio only plays forward, never returning to an earlier point in the audio stream. Expected Results: The audio should be synced with the video.
