Unicode input regression

2023-09-01 Thread Graham Perrin
Following my first pkg upgrade with 15.0-CURRENT, I no longer get the
required character after input.

In applications such as Dolphin, Konsole, Firefox, and Thunderbird: the
visible input (e.g. code 2013 for an en dash) is followed by disappearance.

In Code - OSS (editors/vscode): input is followed by visibility of the
code (e.g. 2013), as if I typed it normally.

The version of IBus did not change.

Does anyone else have this regression?

Always FreeBSD-CURRENT? Or did you use 13.2-RELEASE-p2 before this upgrade?

More than a handful of crashes, at qutebrowser quit time. I typically

To not have discussion across two lists, should I make a bug report in

There's various bits-and-pieces used by other applications to integrate with
the global menu, and that's probably what's breaking this up:

  - https://launchpad.net/libdbusmenu for gtk applications, maybe

  - LibreOffice has its own special thing

So it is largely a matter of "something is missing but we don't know what
exactly".

In theory, I'd like it for Firefox however (a) I doubt that it will
happen (see for example

and (b) I'd not benefit from it (I use the menu bar of Firefox for more
than just menus).

[kde-freebsd] 11.0-CURRENT: K3b and xfburn issues with .mp3 (for audio CD)

Testing PC-BSD 11.0-CURRENTMAR2016 with the .mp3 file that is
downloadable from

[graham@macbookpro82] /usr/ports/www/firefox% pkg info k3b | grep Version
Version: 2.0.3
* Creating Video CDs (VCD 1.1, 2.0, SVCD, CD-i support (Version 4))

If I drag an .mp3 from the (local) ~/Desktop and drop on the project
files area of K3b, there's a strange message:

No non-local files supported:

(If I use the Project menu to add the file, there's a more explanatory
message.)

[graham@macbookpro82] /usr/ports/www/firefox% pkg info xfburn | grep Version
Version: 0.5.4_3

Attempting to add the .mp3 file to an audio CD project causes the
application to crash.
