[Bug 285378] New: "Store failed, server replied: A000315 BAD Error in IMAP command UID: Invalid arguments." when sending mail

2011-10-31 Thread Malte S . Stretz
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=285378

Summary: "Store failed, server replied: A000315 BAD Error in

mail
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.7
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW

ReportedBy: kde-bug...@msquadrat.de

Version: 4.7 (using KDE 4.7.2)
OS:Linux

KMail/Akonadi (1.6.2) just started to reply with the error message "Remote
Folders: Store failed, server replied: A000315 BAD Error in IMAP command UID:
Invalid arguments." when I send mails. Not always. It looks like this happens
for a specific recipient only but I can't prove that.

The mails are stored in the Sent folder of my IMAP account and they do exist
after the error.

The IMAP server is a Dovecot 1.1.11.

[Bug 285381] New: akonadi_nepomuk_*_feeder processes problem after startup

2011-10-31 Thread pe-es
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=285381

   Summary: akonadi_nepomuk_*_feeder processes problem after
startup
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: 4.7
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Nepomuk Feeder Agents
AssignedTo: to...@kde.org
ReportedBy: pe...@gmx.de
CC: vkra...@kde.org, kdepim-bugs@kde.org

Application: akonadi_nepomuk_contact_feeder (4.7)
KDE Platform Version: 4.7.2 (4.7.2)
Qt Version: 4.7.4
Operating System: Linux 3.0.0-12-generic-pae i686
Distribution: Ubuntu 11.10

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I simply have to start an application which is using akonadi

- Unusual behavior I noticed:
Lots of akonadi_nepomuk_*feeder processes (calendar, contacts, etc.) are using
100% CPU usage per CPU-core and are writing heap information into the memory
until the memory is full what causes the processes to crash.

Hardly. you would also have to split some core packages (kde-apps,kde-runtime,
kde-workspace, kactivities) and a lot of applications.

BTW this happens 4 times in a row. On a clean install of KDE, I did NOTHING too
it to cause this. If this is the reputation you want for this software, then
good luck. I was willing to deal with KDEs horrible monitor management, but
this now takes it over the line. Hello GNOME.Good bye Christopher. Sorry for
everyone else that has to deal with you.

[Bug 281530] no longer possible to extract SpamAssassin-encapsulated message

Is this fix in kdepim trunk? The problem does not appear to be resolved - an
encapsulated message cannot be opened by clicking on it, "View" works but there
is no context menu. Dragging the attachment anywhere within KMail shows the
"no entry" cursor.

Hi, for information, I get the same bug.
I'm synchronizing with a SOGo server in caldav.

When I edit the same event twice, the error appears, I think it is linked to
the fact that korganizer (or akonadi?) detects a conflict between the local
event and the remote one maybe?!

I've tried multiple times to reproduce this and unfortunately (or fortunately!)
it has not crashed again. I've removed and re-added my calendar, and I've
tried both MySQL and SQLite backends for Akonadi, and it's all working fine
now.

I guess I'll close this as WORKSFORME now and, if I manage to reproduce it,
I'll re-open it.

The only MIME messages in my ~/.xsession-errors are:

checking table "MimeTypeTable"
checking relation "CollectionMimeTypeRelation"
akonadi.collectionmimetyperelation OK
akonadi.mimetypetable OK

I finnally found a way to restart the process. Goto ~/.kde4/share/config/ and
remove kmail2rc and kmailmigratorrc. The block was implemented in
https://projects.kde.org/projects/kde/kdepim-runtime/repository/revisions/60f8c01542f86bd04cafd68b91c2f609d73d4aa2
to prevent corruption to kmailrc2.

I'm not a Google Calendar user, but the main bug I know of (spotted many
months ago, not sure if it's still here) is with secondary calendars and
attendees: if you create an event in a secondary calendar with attendees then
they will be deleted and replaced with a single attendee corresponding to the
calendar ID.

Cheers,
Grégory

[Bug 283954] Only resources can modify remote revisions

--- Comment #3 from Ingo Ratsdorf 2011-10-31 23:31:37

My issue is independant from that.
If I edit an istance too quickly (quicker then the updated version is retrieved
from the server), akonadi or Korganizer will display a message where you can
select the item that you want to keep (using 4.7.2).
However, an ettempt to change repeating item end dates, exceptions or
participants SOMETIMES produces this weired bug.
I tried to reproduce it, but cannot. However it happened several times in the
past.
I will keep an eye on it and report steps taken once it occurs again.

Regards,
Ingo

[Bug 285437] New: Kontact crashes Kubuntu when clicking articles tab in Akgregator

2011-10-31 Thread bruceM
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=285437

Summary: Kontact crashes Kubuntu when clicking articles tab in
Akgregator
   Product: kontact
   Version: 4.7.2
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: akregator
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: br...@anantamyoga.co.za

Version: 4.7.2 (using KDE 4.7.2)
OS:Linux

I'll have a couple of tabs open in Akgregator, then I go back to the articles
tab for the lists of unread feeds and Kubuntu instantly restarts.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
It happens fairly regularly, but my attempts to intentionaly reproduce it
failed. Step by step would be: having a couple of tabs open in akgregator, then
click the articles tab.

Actual Results:
Kubuntu restarted, and I'd have to login again and reopen all applications.
Usually I'd have a couple of LibreOffice Calc spreadsheets open and a brower or
too.

Expected Results:
Simply open the articles tab with unread feeds showing.

I'm running Kubuntu 11.10. I'm a little disappointed in this latest release.
Everything also seems very slow. Many times Firefox hangs, slows right down
until I eventually restart it (get message Firefox is not responding), Google
Chrome also seems to be very slow. I also find KMail2 has slowed right down
sometimes, especially when I drag & drop emails to different folders.
