-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I've about 10 mails in inbox. Kmail crashes when I move from second mail to
third, which was a german style MDN message. The first mail was an empty one,
which I deleted just before the crash happened the first time. I started kmail
twice and the deleted first message was shown as an empty one.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

[Bug 234376] kontact/kadr akonadi? Problems to add/show new contacts, additional errors in calendar

--- Comment #3 from Andreas Kahnt 2010-04-16 18:01:57
---
I've nothing done manually in this dir.

The two vcard files for the contacts I added were not in this dir. I added them
using the export I did. Then I reactivated the address book as you described -
there are NO errors.

Thank you!

After a reboot:

- I only get this error if I edit one of the contacts I created before the
reboot: "Unable to write to file '/home/aka/.local/share/contacts//': Unknown
error"

- There are no other errors and

- I can export the two contacts.

2010-04-14 Thread Andreas Kahnt

   Product: kaddressbook
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

Version: 4.4.2 (using KDE 4.4.2)
OS:Linux
Installed from:Ubuntu Packages

I put html-text by cut/paste in note field of one contact. On 'ok' an error
complaining special text occurred and I removed that text. It needed multiple
edit/save cycles to remove all special chars - meanwhile I had to edit some
dates in calendar.

Everytime I saved anything I got an error like "Received item with unknown
payload text/directory"(contact) or "Unable to retrieve added item 1
764."(calendar).

For each new contact the field "name"(column left of contact details) but the
"Display Name" field is appropiately filled when I edit the contact. Additional
these new contacts are "shown" on any search, on double-click at the empty
fields the edit dialog appears. But I cannot export these contacts, the
application complains "You have not selected any contacts to export" - if I
select the new ones together with old ones (with visible display name in "Name"
column) only the visible contacts become exported.

How do I have to clear the errors?

[Bug 233513] New: kontact/calendar: move month displays wrong days/weeks/months

2010-04-06 Thread Andreas Kahnt

Version: 4.4.2 (using KDE 4.4.2)
OS:Linux
Installed from:Ubuntu Packages

I've a standard calendar display: upper left: April, below a display of a
current selected date and a calendar overview (birthday and standard calendar),
on right: week 14 (5th..11th of April 2010) whole day dates, below the timed
dates.

When I press the left arrow at left of April the month on upper left switches
to March (ok), on right week 9 (1th..7th of March 2010) is displayed.

- First error: on month at left the days 5..11 are marked which is wrong, 1..7
of March is displayed and should marked.

When I switch back to April with the arrow on the rigth of "March" the days
29-Mar-2010..04-Apr-2010 are displayed on the right. It's not the same week as
before!

- Second error: Either the mark on the month at the left 5..11 of April is
wrong or the days shown at the right.

When I repeat this procedure - press the arrow on the left of April - another
week is displayed on the right: CW-8 == 22..28 of February!!

- Third: The days 5..11 are highlighted on the left which is really distinct
from the days shown on the right.

Next pressing the arrow at the rigth of March switches the display on the rigth
to 22..28 of March (CW-12)

- Fourth: The original days 5..11 of April are highlighted.

Further month switching does not change anything, the wrong days/months are
displayed but not changed any more.

If a person has multiple mail addresses the completion works only on the
preferred one.

When the preferred is the work mail address and I know that the person is in
holidays I want to send him to his private address and expect that completion
does work - but it does not.

Same problem with 4.4.2

Additional:
- cannot select a distribution list using "select recipient": Preselect
"Distribution Lists" ==> no selectable items in list below.
- When generation a distribution list out of a sender list with multiple
addresses in one to/cc field using "Save List..." does not result in a
use/viewable list definition. Only single-address-items are inserted correctly.
- Keyboard focus handling should improved on dialogs creating and editing
distribution lists.

I've added a second identity and transport path - the first I use as default
and is appropiately marked.

1) kmail tries to send a new mail via second path, which does not work because
provider does not allow relaying. The mail stays in outbox.

2) reconfigure first path as default does not change behaviour

3) restart of kmail does not change behavior

4) deletion of second send transfer path: an error occurres that the transfer
path is invalid, the mails cannot sent :-(((

I do not find any config item to redirect the mail in the outbox - what should
I do? A new generated mail still tries to go the missing path, restart of kmail
does not change behaviour.

I reconfigured second path and set it as default, then send a message to that
provider account (no relay): ok. Then I reconfigured the default to the first
transfer path and send a mail: now it works as expected.

- mark found search string in contact display make it easier to know why a
special contact is displayed
- focus handling inconsistent: input search string, enter, arrow-down ==>
nothing visual happen (*1), next arrow-down => select next contact entry.
Expectation: first arrow down should select the next entry. *1: if selection
doesn't change and a contact below the first is already selected, the first
contact becomes selected with the first arrow-down - expectation: reselect to
the first contact when search is executed and the old selection is defunct

mail:
- switch mail by keyboard is inconsisten: arrow-up/-down if focus in mail
selection frame (upper right) or mailbox tree frame (left) does not select
between mails/boxes. Expectation: if focus in that frame arrow-up/-down should
move selection in that frame. Focus should turned round with tab key.
If focus is not in a frame where arrow-up/-down makes sense, the current
handling of arrow and page keys is good. Tab key should reduce to frame and
menu/function handling

kalendar:
- focus/keyboard handling needs lot of improvement

Happy hacking,
Andi

[Bug 232579] hints for kontact-4.4.1: E-Mail, Kontact, Kalendar, notices/Haftnotizen

2010-03-29 Thread Andreas Kahnt
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=232579

--- Comment #1 from Andreas Kahnt 2010-03-29 15:35:55
---
e-mail
- reply-to-all is available with right-click menu in mail but

reply, forward, ... buttons on main window contain a small arrow which I
recognized at the moment that I have to use it with "control" pressed...

Sorry,
Andi

Summary: kontact, email, cannot save edited mail inplace
   Product: kontact
   Version: 4.4.1
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: andreas.ka...@gmx.de

Version: 4.4.1 (using KDE 4.4.1)

There is a function to edit a mail - but I find no one to save the edited one
in-place. Therefor there is no chance to add comments to a mail.

[Bug 232579] New: hints for kontact-4.4.1: E-Mail, Kontact, Kalendar, notices/Haftnotizen

2010-03-29 Thread Andreas Kahnt
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=232579

Summary: hints for kontact-4.4.1: E-Mail, Kontact, Kalendar,
notices/Haftnotizen
   Product: kontact
   Version: 4.4.1
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: andreas.ka...@gmx.de

Version: 4.4.1 (using KDE 4.4.1)
OS:Linux
Installed from:Ubuntu Packages

E-Mail:
- "reply to all" missing
- search for mail address should include all name parts: 'jr' should find 'a
kahnt jr'
- left icon column (overview, mail, contacts) does not adapt to main window and
could not changed in width.
- I would prefer to see destination addresses of mails in mail folders if I was
the sender of the mail (mutt does it so).

contact:
- Set focus to search field after selecting contact - as long as no edit is
active.
- Missing: edit contact data in right window.
- Font face to small for display of contact data, no setup found.
- Missing field 'gender'.
- Missing field 'preferred language'.
- Missing some custom/user fields.
- Deletion of a specific phone number is not possible - only the last entry may
removed.

calender:
- Open/show a date ==> a window is displayed. If I press "edit" a new window
opens .and I think it would be better to close the display window. Else you
have to close two windows past edit.
- Additional kind of date: "Reminder" - a date without duration and location,
selectable with right-button mouse event near "new date", "new task", "new
journal"
- Missing attribut value "out of office" (at "free", "busy").
- Reminder is not configurable at same time at date starts.
- "popup of reminder": The date responsible for popup should be selected.
- German translation: "Erinnerung ausblenden" ==> "... bestätigen".
"ausblenden" means remove something displayed from screen, visible is the
window...
- A click on a week number with days in two months should switch the month
display to the other one ==> clicking on week numbers enables to continuesly
display though the year

notices (German "Haftnotizen"):
- Setup of width => no effect
- I prefer edit of notices in separate windows ==> copy data from email is
easier.

editor:
- Pressing "enter" at a new, empty bulleted line should remove/clear the bullet
part and not create a new empty bullet line.

general:
- "new" mail, date, ... should be cancelable by pressing escape (in addition to
Alt-F4)
- Display application in an own window, ie per right-click/new-window on icon,
would be nice.

Happy hacking,
Andreas Kahnt

[Bug 231629] New: kontact crashes on cvs import with template

2010-03-22 Thread Andreas Kahnt
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=231629

Summary: kontact crashes on cvs import with template
   Product: kontact
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Unlisted Binaries
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
ReportedBy: andreas.ka...@gmx.de

Application that crashed: kontact
Version of the application: 4.3.2
KDE Version: 4.3.2 (KDE 4.3.2)
Qt Version: 4.5.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.31-20-generic i686
Distribution: Ubuntu 9.10

What I was doing when the application crashed:
I tried to import the own cvs export. Template column map entries all look like
3=4 (n=(n+1)). I did this after assign some columns manually at import dialog
and saved a partial template.
