[Kernel-packages] [Bug 2006895] Re: kernel 5.15.0-60-generic out of memory on boot

2023-03-01 Thread fantaz
After the upgrade of grub-efi-amd64-bin 2.06-2ubuntu14.1 and
grub-efi-amd64-signed 2.06-2ubuntu14.1,
everything runs as it should.
Oh, I had also installed the updated kernel - 5.15.0-67-generic x86_64

Title:
kernel 5.15.0-60-generic out of memory on boot

Status in linux-signed package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
Using kubuntu 22.04, and after a kernel update and after a reboot, the
machine just spits out the "out of memory" message. The 5.15.0-58-generic works
just fine.
For what it's worth, I had the similar issue with the kernel prior to 58.
Additionally, grub-efi-amd64-bin, grub-efi-amd64-signed,
ubuntu-advantage-tools, update-notifier-common, software-properties-common and
software-properties-qt updates are held back.

[Kernel-packages] [Bug 2006895] Re: kernel 5.15.0-60-generic out of memory on boot

2023-02-16 Thread fantaz
I just updated the the following packages:
firmware-sof-signed:amd64 (2.0-1ubuntu4, 2.0-1ubuntu4.1),
grub-efi-amd64-signed:amd64 (1.182~22.04.1+2.06-2ubuntu10,
1.187.2+2.06-2ubuntu14),
grub-efi-amd64-bin:amd64 (2.06-2ubuntu10, 2.06-2ubuntu14)
and after the restart I get the same message: "out of memory"

It seems that my bug is a duplicate of
https://bugs.launchpad.net/oem-priority/+bug/1842320 .
I too have nvidia-525 drivers installed. Especially, I'm referring to
https://bugs.launchpad.net/oem-priority/+bug/1842320/comments/156 .

Sadly, no, it didn't help me. But, wasn't this issue addressed in grub2
some time ago?
