Re: [Kernel-packages] [Bug 1458257] Re: Wireless mouse stopped working
It's working fine now. It worked fine the next day. Date: Sun, 31 May 2015 13:48:31 + From: christopher.m.penal...@gmail.com To: pcplanet4t...@hotmail.com Subject: [Bug 1458257] Re: Wireless mouse stopped working Hussam Hallak, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. Could you please test the latest upstream kernel available from the very top line at the top of the page (the release names are irrelevant for testing, and please do not test the daily folder) following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Kernel/MainlineBuilds ? It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. If the test did not allow you to test to the issue (ex. you couldn't boot into the OS) please make a comment in your report about this, and continue to test the next most recent kernel version until you can test to the issue. Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please comment on which kernel version specifically you tested. If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following tags by clicking on the yellow circle with a black pencil icon, next to the word Tags, located at the bottom of the report description: kernel-fixed-upstream kernel-fixed-upstream-X.Y-rcZ Where XY and Z are numbers corresponding to the kernel version. If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the following tags: kernel-bug-exists-upstream kernel-bug-exists-upstream-X.Y-rcZ Please note, an error to install the kernel does not fit the criteria of kernel-bug-exists-upstream. Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug's Status as Confirmed. Please let us know your results. Thank you for your understanding. ** Tags added: latest-bios-r0200y3 ** Package changed: xorg (Ubuntu) = linux (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Medium ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1458257 Title: Wireless mouse stopped working Status in linux package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: I think there is an error reading the USB ports ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.04 Package: xorg 1:7.7+1ubuntu8.1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.16.0-38.52~14.04.1-generic 3.16.7-ckt10 Uname: Linux 3.16.0-38-generic x86_64 .tmp.unity.support.test.0: ApportVersion: 2.14.1-0ubuntu3.11 Architecture: amd64 CompizPlugins: No value set for `/apps/compiz-1/general/screen0/options/active_plugins' CompositorRunning: compiz CompositorUnredirectDriverBlacklist: '(nouveau|Intel).*Mesa 8.0' CompositorUnredirectFSW: true Date: Sat May 23 18:11:49 2015 DistUpgraded: Fresh install DistroCodename: trusty DistroVariant: ubuntu EcryptfsInUse: Yes ExtraDebuggingInterest: Yes, if not too technical GraphicsCard: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:2a42] (rev 07) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller]) Subsystem: Sony Corporation Device [104d:9045] Subsystem: Sony Corporation Device [104d:9045] InstallationDate: Installed on 2015-04-25 (28 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS Trusty Tahr - Release amd64 (20150218.1) MachineType: Sony Corporation VGN-NS190J ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_US TERM=xterm PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcKernelCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-3.16.0-38-generic root=/dev/mapper/ubuntu--vg-root ro quiet splash vt.handoff=7 SourcePackage: xorg UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) dmi.bios.date: 08/27/2009 dmi.bios.vendor: American Megatrends Inc. dmi.bios.version: R0200Y3 dmi.board.asset.tag: N/A dmi.board.name: VAIO dmi.board.vendor: Sony Corporation dmi.board.version: N/A dmi.chassis.asset.tag: N/A dmi.chassis.type: 10 dmi.chassis.vendor: Sony Corporation dmi.chassis.version: N/A dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnAmericanMegatrendsInc.:bvrR0200Y3:bd08/27/2009:svnSonyCorporation:pnVGN-NS190J:pvrC6U063JT:rvnSonyCorporation:rnVAIO:rvrN/A:cvnSonyCorporation:ct10:cvrN/A: dmi.product.name: VGN-NS190J dmi.product.version: C6U063JT dmi.sys.vendor: Sony Corporation version.compiz: compiz 1:0.9.11.3+14.04.20150313-0ubuntu1 version.ia32-libs: ia32-libs N/A version.libdrm2: libdrm2 2.4.60-2~ubuntu14.04.1 version.libgl1-mesa-dri: libgl1-mesa-dri N/A version.libgl1-mesa-dri-experimental: libgl1-mesa-dri-experimental N/A version.libgl1-mesa-glx: libgl1-mesa-glx N/A version.xserver-xorg-core: xserver-xorg-core N/A version.xserver-xorg-input-evdev: xserver-xorg-input-evdev N/A version.xserver-xorg-video-ati: xserver-xorg-video-ati N/A version.xserver-xorg-video-intel: xserver-xorg-video-intel N/A version.xserver-xorg-video-nouveau: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau N/A xserver.bootTime
