 might create stuff we don't
want floating round the OPAC, some of the best bibliographies are
created by Patrons, not Staff. I feel like at the bare minimum, there
needs be a way for a Patron to send their list to Staff to be made
public. I like just giving them the ability to make lists public
  better, though.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of universally preventing the public from creating
lists. It makes sense in a lot of situations, however for e.g. company
libraries, it's able to be quite useful if staff can build lists for a
 topic.

Does anyone know how Koha (3.04.02) handles emailed notices when there
is a secondary email address, but no primary address?

My suspicion is that no notice is sent out the notice is bundled
into the compiled Overdue Notices message to the admin for patrons
 w/out addresses ...

Since no answers appear to be forthcoming you may need to turn to
these resources:

[Koha] Other Koha Multi-type Library Consortia ?

2011-12-06 Thread Lisa Priebe
Hi -

I'm wondering if there are other consortia in the Koha community that have
multiple library types in a single union catalog. We currently support 32
small/rural public, school, and special libraries in one union catalog. We are
considering adding a community college. I'd like to talk to anyone who has
done something similar. Please respond off list.

Thanks,

[Koha] bulkimport.pl

2011-12-06 Thread Andrews, Mark J.
Hi, all,

Where can I find a tutorial on how bulkimport.pl works? I have a particular
interest in how items are imported along with their parent bib records. The
source system is SirsiDynix Symphony 3.4.0 (non-Unicode, in other words
MARC-8). The target system is a VM created by Kyle Hall (we've not met, but
thanks bro!) - Koha 3.06.00.002 under Debian 5. I'm running the VM under VMWare
for Windows w/512 MB of RAM.

Thanks!

[Koha] [Koha-devel] Koha fails to authenticate against a secured CAS server

2011-12-06 Thread Auninda Rumy Saleque
Hello everyone,
Lately I tried to connect koha with a CAS server for testing purpose
and everything seemed to work fine but when I tried to use a secured
CAS server url for koha, the login keeps on failing and returns me to
the koha login page with an invalid error msg 'Sorry, the CAS login
failed.'
am I doing something wrong here?

Note: for an insecured CAS login url, both secured/insecured koha
login works fine but it fails in both cases if i use a secured CAS
url.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Regards
