[Koha] Unable to generate barcodes, koha 3.10.00.000 live dvd
After adding books to the catalog I attempt to print labels. I export with avery 5160 and the 'label test' layout to pdf. When it exports the barcodes are just several blocks and they are all the same. I have autobarcode in Home › Administration › System preferences set to branchcodeyymm0001. This is a new install and so far I have only added 7 books. I'm testing this right now at home in vmware before I use it on a small 500ish book library at nonprofit where I volunteer. When I manage the batch in the label created in the chart that shows all of the books the barcode field is blank. I've searched all over google and can not figure this out. This is a critical feature because they want to be able to check out books by scanning them. screencaps http://postimg.org/image/wupdvp4al/ http://postimg.org/image/q6okfbba3/ -- View this message in context: http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/Unable-to-generate-barcodes-koha-3-10-00-000-live-dvd-tp5755110.html Sent from the Koha-general mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ Koha mailing list http://koha-community.org Koha@lists.katipo.co.nz http://lists.katipo.co.nz/mailman/listinfo/koha

Re: [Koha] exporting bibliographic records
I think I've figured this one out. I had problems with my bibliographic records then. When I ran zebra index -b -a -r -x, there were four records not properly indexed. So this is where the problems occurred, such that when I export biblio records in tools, it stop in the problematic record. Remember the instance that I have to get the last biblio record I got during export and start to the next record (by +1 in biblionumber) and then it stops to a certain biblionumber, that was because of malformed/problematic biblio records. So when I deleted this records and re-run the zebra index and got no errors, I was able to export all of my records. -- View this message in context: http://koha.1045719.n5.nabble.com/exporting-bibliographic-records-tp5753557p5755118.html Sent from the Koha-general mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ Koha mailing list http://koha-community.org Koha@lists.katipo.co.nz http://lists.katipo.co.nz/mailman/listinfo/koha

First off, using that barcode sequence is a bad idea. It was a bad idea and should really only be retained for backward compatibility for libraries currently using it. Sequential is a better choice. http://postimg.org/image/q6okfbba3/ This phenomena occurs because of the interaction of a short (char-wise) barcode number and poor barcode image scaling code. The quickest solution is to start your barcodes at some number starting with a non-zero digit and containing five or more digits. Re: [Koha] Can't add items in public lists any more...
Dear all Do you know if the lists owners could have changed with our recent Koha update?I have checked the Koha manual, I have googled whatever I could, I just can't find much information about these public lists. How do we change the owner? We have got a librarian here, she used to be able to add items in some lists (I am not sure whether she was the lists owner or not, but at least she could add items), no she can't.Also, I have just tried myself. If I create a public list with everyone being allowed to do anything, then really it works, everyone can use it. But we can't use any more the lists we used to use before, there is noone written in the created by column for these lists, and we don't know how to change that. Another way of solving the problem for us, could be that I create new lists with everyone being allowed to use them again, and then export the contents of the old useless lists, but I can't find in the manual how to export / copy / paste / do-anything-really with the public lists. Any help would be appreciated... Cheers, Sonia.
