Re: [Koha] add member/ldap

Samuel Desseaux asked:

I come back because there's something which is not absolutly clear in my
mind with interaction between ldap and koha.

Can we make a massive import of borrowers from ldap or the method is

1) making an export in csv of the ldap and use import tool

2) using ldap when we want update some informations about the borrower?

You can do either - and more besides. I think basically method 2 is
preferred, but your LDAP may be strange and so something like 1 will
work better. Could some librarians describe their working LDAP patron
setups, please?

Thanks,

Hi,

To complete my message, here is my configuration

 1

 **
 ou=people,dc=ecp,dc=fr
 cn=syncrepl,ou=applications,dc=ecp,dc=fr

and our ldap with an example in attached file.

What it gives now

1) when i connect to the first time, it doesn't add the borrower. I need
to create it manually and after, with ldap, it makes an update

2) when i use the ldap, i would like to use the login (supannAliasLogin)
instead of the uid. In this case, is principal name necessary?

Why? Because, in the configuration, the login is (example)
'2012desseauxs'. But, we would like 'desseauxs'

3) Something strange: when i use cas (which is linked to the ldap), i
can use normally my login "desseauxs", the connection is ok but the
personal informations aren't so complete as i use instead "2012desseauxs".

With others colleagues, we are working on this problem but we don't find
great solutions for the moment. I 'll certainly make a csv export of the
ldap and i' ll see next year how can i make it better.

Many thanks

[Koha] ldap / uid

2012-11-21 Thread Samuel Desseaux

Hi,

I've a technical question about ldap.

My connexion with the ldap is enabled. The mapping is correct but we
would like to use "SupannAliasLogin" instead of "uid".

Why? Our uid is like this [year of entry in the school]+supannAliasLogin

example:2012desseauxs

2012:year of entry in the school
desseauxs:SupannAliasLogin

I don't know how to do and i i have to change the principal name

Actually, we have the following configuration

 ***
 ou=people,dc=ecp,dc=fr
 cn=syncrepl,ou=applications,dc=ecp,dc=fr
 **
 1
 1
 1
 uid=%s,ou=people,dc=ecp,dc=fr

Very good job. Git install with no problems for me.

On the website, the link http://download.koha-community.org/koha-3.10.00.tar.gz

[Koha] koha as a cms

2013-01-02 Thread Samuel desseaux

Hi,

I try to use koha as cms, in waiting for our new website.

I've followed these links
http://manual.koha-community.org/3.8/en/kohacms.html and
http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha_as_a_CMS

I've no error but the content can't be displayed.

What i don't understand is "pages.tmpl". In
/usr/share/koha/opac/htdocs/opac-tmpl/prog/fr-FR/modules , i've only
pages.tt. Do i have to change tt in tmpl?

Permissions, user and group are ok.

Best regards

samuel

[Koha] about records in koha pro

2013-01-16 Thread Samuel Desseaux

Hi,

I've a question of my colleagues.

In the opac, when i'm looking for something, i've the results and when i
choose one of the results, i can add a link to come back to the results
and another link to the search

example: i make a research and it gives the results
http://koha.ecp.fr:8080/cgi-bin/koha/catalogue/search.pl?q=eau

I choose one of the result and there, i 'd be able to see the next
record which is in the list of results. Is it possible? I hope that you
will understand my request.

samuel

[Koha] check in /check out fails

2013-01-16 Thread Samuel Desseaux
Hi,

Upon trying to check items out to a patron this message appears:

--
Software error:

Can't call method "subfield" on an undefined value at
/usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Biblio.pm line 3008.

The item gets checked out (i.e. it appears in the list of items checked out to
the client when you go return to the checkout page). The same happens with
check in. The items get checked in, but Koha stops at the error message.

What can i do?

It is for most of items. I don't really see where is located the problem.

I will create a record and his item and test, that could help me.

Re: [Koha] Import matching rule for 001 tag

2013-01-19 Thread Samuel Desseaux

I've the same question because i've some problems with records which have
multiple items.

I've tried to create my matching rule (i join a snapshot) but your advice would
be helpful to say if it's good or not.

After, im marc import, as i upload only items, which are the good parameters?

Record matching rule:
Action if matching record found:
Action if no match is found:

Check for embedded item record data?

Yes
No

How to process items: Add items only if matching bib was found?

Best,

samuel

It means you have activated DOM indexing for authorities with a UNIMARC
Koha. But authorities DOM indexing works for MARC21 but doesn't for
UNIMARC. See bug 7421.

Switch to GRS-1 for authorities indexing.

Ok , but how can i do it? Do i modify the koha-conf.xml or like this
(http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Switching_to_dom_indexing and
instead dom, i choose grs-1).

So, when i make a git status, i've this

# On branch v3.10.04
# Untracked files:
# (use "git add ..." to include in what will be committed)
#
# MYMETA.json

# koha-tmpl/intranet-tmpl/prog/fr-FR/
# koha-tmpl/opac-tmpl/prog/fr-FR/
# pm_to_blib
nothing added to commit but untracked files present (use "git add" to track)

But, after installation, i'm on 3.11 (so, the next version).

How can i solve this problem?

[Koha] errors ldap

2013-08-19 Thread Samuel Desseaux

Hi,

Our koha is connected to our ldap now. During tests, we have some problems.
We have added 2 members the first time and it worked but we have this error

opac-user.pl : DBD::mysql::st execute failed:
Cannot add or update a child row: a foreign key constraint fails
(`bibecp`.`borrowers`, CONSTRAINT `borrowers_ibfk_1` FOREIGN KEY
(`categorycode`) REFERENCES `categories` (`categorycode`)) at

referer: http://tst-koha.ecp.fr/cgi-bin/koha/opac-main.pl?logout.x=1

Now, we can't add members any more

[Koha] about patronimages and photo of borrowers

2013-09-03 Thread Samuel Desseaux

Hi,

I've a question:

When i enabled the system preferences "patronimages", photo of
borrower can be imported in koha but

1)where these photos are located in koha?
2)where i have to define the source where i dowload photos?
3)How is made the link between the borrower and his photo (all the
borrowers com from our ldap)?

Thank you.

Best regards,

Samuel

Hi,

For the connection with an ldap, koha need a "branchcode". All the
others fields are ok for me except "branchcode".

I don't find "branchcode" or equivalent in my ldap.

Could someone explain to me what does it means branchcode?

I don't find where is the problem. Mapping between koha and ldap seems
to be good.

But, in logs, i see this problem

Hi!

I want to link koha to a CAS Server (only for the professionnal side).

In the administration tool, it seems to be easy.

But, does koha need specific perl modules?

I've enabled mod-proxy on apache and add this part in the virtualhost

Is it really a problem of mapping or a problem with the database?

Hi
   For the, try using the
format%s@yourdomain. Most of your mapping of koha to ldap
have syntax error. I don't know if that's a typo or include your LDAP parameters or the values that
are mapped to Koha fields in double quotes. Look at the this
linkhttp://perldoc.koha-community.org/C4/Auth_with_ldap.html for detailed information on the
configuration.

Maybe, but I think maybe first you should try an email address with
better spam filters than Google Mail. Ideally, something where you
can check the server mail logs and see if any attempt is made.

I tried another email address (yahoo.co.nz) and haven't received a

confirmation email. I also checked the spam folder for Gmail, but nothing
was in there (apart from spam, of course).

Hello,

It's the first time i configure a connection between koha and a ldap.

I don't succeed (only one try would have been fantastic).

This is an extract of my file

I don't find where is the problem. Mapping between koha and ldap seems
to be good.

But, in logs, i see this problem

An idea?

Hi!

On the road to koha, we have successfully import bibliographic records
and authorities. Now, we have to import items record and problems begin .

In our ILS, items are in a separate table. As we have not many options

[Koha] import items

2012-09-17 Thread Samuel Desseaux

Hi,

I've imported my bibliographic records and want to add items.

For bibliographic records, i've added 995 field and subfields. My items
are in another marc file but i don't know how to link both.

Something i don't understand is, when i am in stage marc records for
import, the item "record matching rule" is fixed on "do not looking for
matching records". I can't choose another solution. That would may be
the reason i can't link bib and items records?

I've not tested with bulkmarcimport for the moment.

Re: [Koha] [Koha-devel] CAS authentification

2012-10-11 Thread Samuel Desseaux

Hi,

I come back with my CAS authentification. I've dropped files i've
created and enabled cas authentification.

when i want to log on my account with the cas i've this error

 HTTP Status 404 - /cgi-bin/koha/opac-user.pl

*type* Status report

*message* _/cgi-bin/koha/opac-user.pl_

*description* _The requested resource (/cgi-bin/koha/opac-user.pl) is
not available.

_

_
and this url
_

_https://cas.ecp.fr/cgi-bin/koha/opac-user.pl?ticket=ST-871433-juck1Kbvu2nNX57nzrYt
_

In the log, i've found this

Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at
/usr/share/koha/lib/C4/Auth_with_cas.pm line 95, line 577

Is it a bug or something else?

best regards

samuel

[Koha] CAS server /koha

2012-10-25 Thread Samuel Desseaux

Hi,

I've just enabled cas authentification and i've an error.

Seems to be clear: The url which allows to connect is
https://cas.ecp.fr//login?service=/index.html

The index doesn't exists but i'd like to correct it. I suppose it's in
the perl module?

Re: [Koha] How to export data in iso2709?

2012-11-12 Thread Samuel Desseaux

Hi,

Is it possible to do it with yaz-marcdump?

I need to convert items file from my old ils in iso2709. With our ils,
it's impossible.
So, i've made an extract from items table, it gives a text file. After,
with marc edit, i can create a marc file but how can i transform it in a
raw file.

Yaz-marcdump seems to be a solution but how can i write it?

Regards,

samuel

Juan,
there are two export formats: marc (iso2709) and marxml.
About the extension, ".mrc" is also used by MarcEdit, but
after you download the file, you can change it if you like.

Bernardo

Re: [Koha] add member/ldap

2012-11-16 Thread Samuel Desseaux

Hi,

I come back because there's something which is not absolutly clear in my
mind with interaction between ldap and koha.

Can we make a massive import of borrowers from ldap or the method is

1) making an export in csv of the ldap and use import tool

2) using ldap when we want update some informations about the borrower?

Best regards

samuel

I don't know what version you are using, but member.pl line 139 for me is
%{$categories_dislay{$$borrower{categorycode}}},
so I think you maybe have a borrower without a categorycode - as with
the problem I saw yesterday, that shouldn't happen, so I doubt it can
be repaired from in Koha. So I'd connect to mysql and find and fix the
borrowers table.

Hope that helps,
