KR> Anyone going to Sun N Fun!!!
Well I wish I was farther along with mine but won't make it. We planed on coming down again this year but after wrecking the Stinson we just won't be able to take the time or the money. Will defiantly be ready next year. la...@lebanair.com -Original Message- From: krnet-boun...@mylist.net [mailto:krnet-boun...@mylist.net] On Behalf Of Steve Glover Sent: Wednesday, April 07, 2010 8:57 PM To: KR Net Subject: KR> Anyone going to Sun N Fun!!! Hello Netter's, Well, it is a done deal. We will be at Sun N Fun and will have a booth near the lake behind building "D". We can use it for a rally point for any netters in attendance and maybe have that BBQ and get together that was mentioned a couple weeks ago. There will be a banner with a big red "KR-2S" on it so it should be easy to find. I'm looking forward to seeing some of you down there. We will have a few sets of KR-2S plans for sale and a few parts on display. Joe Horton should be in around Thursday and will have his plane in our display for anyone wanting a closer look at one fine KR with a Corvair power plant. On a side note, if there are any other KR builders or fliers local or planning on flying in, please contact me off list as I might have an extra pass in exchange for displaying your plane or project for a few days. It's a long trek from California but we are excited to be participating this year and are hoping to bring the KR brand back into the mainstream of experimental aviation. For this application, one needs to use an analog servo, not digital servo. John Melvin El Paso, Texas In a message dated 4/7/2010 8:32:28 A.M. Ray Allen probably is the best but, I went on the cheap side. I used 96 Toyota heater servo motors and Toyota Camary window switches. Seems to work fine. I also used the cables from the heater control off a toyota too. The motors and cables combined only weighed 5 ounces. --- On Wed, 4/7/10, Al Hawkins wrote: From: Al Hawkins Subject: Re: KR> Electric Trim To: "KRnet" List-Post: krnet@list.krnet.org Date: Wednesday, April 7, 2010, 9:31 AM I tried to use a r/c servo with a test controller, and it worked fine until the transponder transmitted, then it went to full deflection. Dave I have used a heavy duty model airplane radio control servo with a servo tester circuit as a controller. It hasn't flown yet so I don't know whether the servo is powerful enough. I tried the wing mirror servo method with a servo off a Jeep Cherokee, but I couldn't get it to operate fast enough.
