KR> N86DK..... Gear & Foam-repaid
I used Polyureathane Foam and Clark foam. Ordered the poly foam from Wicks Aircraft Supply Co. FAA likes that foam. John On Sat, 07 Jan 2012 22:24:21 -0500 "Virgil N. Hi Dave, Sounds like you have a standard KR2. I have a new, unused, complete plans set, purchased from Stu Robinson at Oshkosh 1n 1975. Shoot me your mailing address and it's yours, no charge. KR> Wing Cargo Wells?
I was an instructor for US Light Sport the original importer of the Sport Cruiser the day they first brought the first one to the US. The wing lockers as they are called are a great idea although they do leek and need to have drain holes in the bottoms. They make a lot of sense and are very useful mainly because all the weight you put in them is very near the CG as opposed to behind the seats. The one thing that is a little concern to me though is that the Sport Cruiser has a max speed of 135 mph whereas the KR has a much higher speed. They will need to be fastened very securely. They were lined without outdoor carpet to protect the skin on the Sport Cruiser. We used them for things like, oil, funnel, fuel tester mainly because they were wet lockers. Hi folks, Had a buddy tell me the other day about a Czech plane he saw recently... the Sportcruiser. When he googled a pic for me, I noticed the similarity in general form to the KR2. Then he started talking about how it had cargo wells in the wings... x number of pounds in each. Blah blah... then I began to wonder if anyone had tried wing cargo wells on a KR... Anyone know of any? KR> Opinion on O-290
0-320 more power around same weightI've got a 0-290 in my MM1/M1 wish I had either the 320 or downsized to a 0-200 (stuck in the middle) CldLk-Tim - Original Message - From: "GaryH"To: "'KRnet'" Sent: Friday, January 06, 2012 2:26 PM Subject: RE: KR> Opinion on O-290 There is a point of no return. More HP still may not benefit in speed. Build it light and clean. Also, more HP is more $$$ both in initial cost and fuel burn. Good luck.
