KR> another 2.5 hours and ten more landings
Hi Larry, Thanks for your correction to Mark's field. The KR is 603# with a Revmaster 2180. I have a prop from Tommy W that is giving me about 3150 static on the ground. No deployable drag now and I've thought about that for a while. I've never landed it here but the takeoff used about 1000' and was fine (landed at a much longer field.) Still think this is "do-able" for my field? In my C177A Cardinal I use about 1000 for takeoff & 600-800 for landings. Thanks again. Thank you. >John Bouyea +++ I thing Mark flies out of M38 (Hazel Green) which is 2600 hard surface. He did once fly out of Moon Town but that was long ago. If you are looking to fly out of 2000 foot turf you'll definitely want some type of deployable drag, i.e., speed brake or effective flaps. What do you expect the empty weight of your KR to be and what engine are you using? Nice looking residential air park where you live. 2000 feet, no obstructions, near sea level, should be a piece of cake. Larry Flesner

The transponder antenna should be on the bottom of the aircraft, in the center of a ground plane, the dimensions of which I do not remember. So, mounting your ADAHRS, on a shelf that spans the longerons, should work perfectly because that puts it on the same plane as the flight of the aircraft. My Panther Building Documentation at PantherBuilder Web Site Daniel R. Heath -?Lexington, SC -Original Message- After some thought, I could mount it on a small platform (3/32 ply) glued to the upper aft fuselage horizontal braces behind the left seat. I'll have to relocate the transponder antenna which is presently located there.
KR> Dynon Encoder Serial-to-Gray Code Converter Module
Yes, can't tell you how many hours, but I never had a failure and used it for over 2 years. My Panther Building Documentation at PantherBuilder Web Site Daniel R. I installed an Encoder Serial-to-Gray Code Converter Module in order to use the Dynon EFIS D-10A as the altitude encoder. My estimate is about 30 hours total operating time on this Convertor Module and it has failed. Dynon still makes this Module ($80). This does seem to be a low mean time before failure. Does anyone have any operating experience with this Dynon Module?
