I made a custom panel for a D model Bonanza once upon a time and just used a
drill press and 3-1/8, 2-1/4 hole saws then swirl polished it with round
wire brush. Turned out ok

That's been the problem with general aviation for a long time...the rich
want it to be an exclusive club for them so the have priced the little man
out!!!
