There's a lot more on this at http://www.n56ml.com/kvw.html , from back
when I was planning to use a Type 4 VW, but discovered the Corvair. I
still regret selling my Type 4...I sure wish I had it now! Unquote
I've got a new one, trouble is I don't know what it's worth.

KR> A look at reality

2015-11-04 Thread mfreeman2 at indy.rr.com
Hi everyone.

I got a dose of reality this past week.
I saw in the news that Fred Thompson had past away, he was 73, the same age as
I am.
I liked Fred, he seemed to be an upright guy and I have no reason to doubt that
he was.
Anyway, it got me to thinking about my life. I have come just that close to
losing it on two distinct occasions.
On the one, I did die but they were able to revive me, and you know what they
say, the third time is the charm.
My KR project has been at a standstill for far too long due to the lack of work
space.
My daughter has moved back in with us and it looks like it will be permanent. I
don't want to leave my project for the family to get rid of when I'm gone so I
need to find someone who wants to finish it. I have the boat on gear, two
engines, a Cont. O-200A and a new 2600cc VW from Steve Bennett, who by the way
also past away last week. Call me if your interested. 317-491-7267 Dan.

You want one like this then, it may be a bit pricey for you.
But then I've found that everything in aviation is expensive.

KR> KR engine mount?

2015-08-12 Thread mfreeman2 at indy.rr.com
Alright I found it its attached to a GP VW type 4 2600 cc engine sitting in the
crate that's why it was so hard to find. I'll try to post a picture of it.
The dimensions are 13 and three quarter inches by 15 and three quarter inches
center to center of the square pads that mount against the firewall.
It has the Diehl case with full electric.

I had one but I need to do a search and see if I still have it. It may take a
bit of time to dig through my stuff.

KR> sorry about the subject info needed

2014-03-02 Thread mfreeman2 at indy.rr.com
In case anyone else is in need of type 4 parts, I have a clean case, new stock
pistons with rings, connecting rods and cylinders and some miscellaneous parts.
I'm not sure if I still have a good stock crankshaft, would have to look and
see.

wrapped around them as instructed in the instruction sheet that comes with them.
