I've been watching the weather reports for the Gathering 
weather.  It's been switching back and forth from sunshine to rain 
and back to sunshine for the last two weeks.  For now, it has settled 
on a chance for rain.  Let's keep our fingers crossed.  Whatever the 
weather there will be at least one KR there for show and tell.  I 
plan to get mine to Mt.Vernon this weekend and return in an 
RV7.  It's only a 40 mile flight so I doubt if I win the "greatest 
distance flown" award.

I'm looking forward to seeing all the attendees as much as the 
KR's.  It seems like a family reunion each year.

Can you video that un-rain dance and put it on the net so we all can do it. I 
flew 1.5 hrs today and had a few drops of rain on the windshield as we made out 
final traffic pattern th Hensley Airpark. Forcast says rain all week so I hope 
we can work our way around the rain thursday afternoon.

They are calling for 50% chance of rain on Tuesday I didn't look at
the long range forecast for the  area yet.

I went up in Chris Collins' airplane today to do some air to air shots
of a LSA Jabaru for the LSA fly-in they are having here in Mt. Vernon.

oxygen system and take the 150 on up to 30,000 to fly over this mess. (Joke).

I just did a search for a 30 day weather forecast for Gathering 
weather and don't like the looks of their prediction. :-(  Lets hope 
they are wrong by a week or so.  We've had five years of acceptable 
weather.  Let's hope it holds.

Not sure what is going on there in Wisconsin at the end of this week but here 
in Dallas, a cold front is supposed to come thru and drop highs in the lower 
70s Thursday, I did not hear anything about rain yet but maybe that cold front 
is going to snow on you Mark! Maybe you need to leave on Wednesday.   : )

As I suspected, the weather forecast here has changed again. Now it is rain 
on Wednesday with Mostly cloudy with a chance of a rain shower on Thursday 
and a high of 53°. No problem, I will leave on Thursday. BTW, I just 
returned from the airport doing touch and goes during the last hour of 
daylight. I also got to watch a beautiful sunset as I was doing the T's.

consistent since I have been watching it for the last two weeks. See y'all

We are looking at mid to high 80s and sunny during the day with nighttime
lows around 60.  Bring something warm for the nighttime sessions at the
campground.  Last year, it got a little cool standing around sucking on root
beer foam.
