KR> KR2 Plans - nV Aero Version
My hat is off to you Steve, I was one of the original purchaser of a set of plans and the full kit, less engine... many years ago... I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Ken and his family until I sold my project...I have a lot of admiration for all who have kept this 'kettle boiling" so to speak and the one that I remember is Steve Bennett. He has been in this for a long time and has a lot of experience and knowledge of the KR's... I truly enjoy the conversations and project pictures of all the KR's that are flying and in process... and Mark Langfords pictorial tours that he gives... Keep 'em Flying... Thanks jw Joe. E. Here's the deal. Our original agreement with RR was we would distribute plans to ensure they would be delivered in a timely manner and that there was some form of direct contact for builders. Initially we didn't get a break and it was costing us. Eventually we were getting a little break so with that and shipping we could cover our costs and make about 7 - 10 bucks. Toward the end of the year a couple things occurred. A. Our hangar was flooded out at Corona with about 9' of water. Ultimately we couldn't get back in for 3 weeks to get tings cleaned up and moved out. We relocated to Chino where we do not have to be concerned with flooding again and have been working long hours to build out the facility. In addition we are building/ rebuilding tooling, making parts for two large and several small orders and are attempting to get organized and productive again. B. Some things transpired while Jeanette was away for the holidays that changed plans availability. I have been in touch with her and we are working on a resolution. It may be that we will now hold the plans and production rights to facilitate easier production and delivery. We should have all this worked out soon. There will be some eventual changes if/ when this occurs. As of now KR-2S plans and builders manuals are shipped with a complete set of KR-2 plans and drawings as well. This will no longer be the case as the plans and builders manual will be updated and consolidated to include only either the -2 or 2S drawings, whichever is applicable. ___ Kill Your Wrinkles Mom Reveals Shocking $5 method for erasing wrinkles...Doctors hate her http://thirdpartyoffers.juno.com/TGL3141/4d5578b6a826a25ef2ast03duc ___ Search the KRnet Archives at http://www.maddyhome.com/krsrch/index.jsp to UNsubscribe from KRnet, send a message to krnet-le...@mylist.net please see other KRnet info at http://www.krnet.org/info.html

This will no longer be the case as the plans and builders manual will be updated and consolidated to include only either the -2 or 2S drawings, whichever is applicable. I understand that many new generation KR's are modified somewhat with updates from over the years. There are two ways to look at this. You can call it a KR if that is what you built from and have a registered set of plans or, you build it from a bootleg copy and call it something else. I can tell you, if you do not have a REGISTERED set of plans you will not be purchasing KR related components from us. If anyone thinks they are going to make or sell parts for the KR and believes they are going to make a living you are sadly mistaken. We cover expenses and have a small cushion typically but have depleted most of that with the flood and move. We are still ok and rebuilding. nV Aero is and has been financed solely by us. Eric is still in the Navy and takes care of the back end. We initially had some setbacks when I blew out my knee. After my recovery, then we have the flood. With all the expense and effort, we are still here. I am on the production side and can tell you it is nearly a full time job. I do it because I love it and want to help others to be able to build their own affordable aircraft. Like Eric I have a regular job in addition to nV Aero. As I mentioned above one cannot make a living selling KR plans and parts. If anyone has any questions just let us know. We answer the phone as often as possible but do realize I am at my real job on most days if it goes to voicemail. Still I am pretty good at least returning calls. Emails work really well too.
