I did look into it as well. The bill has already been withdrawn but had been proposed by Rep. Weiner (D-NY). I wrote my congressman and Rep. Weiner trying to explain why a bill like this would be unacceptable and asking that for future reference that he check with EAA or AOPA or any pilot in the House or Senate before proposing any future legislation. May I ask all of you to do the same. People like Rep. Weiner aren't evil, just completely clueless. It is up to us to help them become informed. Thanks. EAA sent a newscast by e-mail last week announcing that this highly insane and populistic proposal was announced on the Senate's floor. I went to the local store today to get an inductive timing light with advance and found it to be on sale for $22 and much more stuff was at more than 50% off.
