[Bug 1512834] Re: slideshow-kubuntu.pot in Xenial is not updated to refer 16.04 LTS
@ Lasse: The issue seems to be fixed for Xenial: https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/xenial/+source/ubiquity- slideshow-ubuntu/+pots/ubiquity-slideshow-kubuntu I'll just cross-reference our other bug on this subject #1530213 > Is there any way I can help to make sure that the slide show appears translated in the final 16.04 build? [Bug 1530213] Re: Kubuntu-Frontend: Translation strings for wily and xenial (updated strings for translation needed)
When the ugly mis-programming behaviour occured then in December I could at least leave the option for the correct suggestion (like here): https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/wily/+source/ubiquity- slideshow-ubuntu/+pots/ubiquity-slideshow-kubuntu/it/45/+translate So once it's up in english, it's up to the translation teams to pick the right choice or just to delete it (what I saw from the french team). Even though I could change it now for Wily – "someone" would have to revert it later down to Lucid, that what my log tells me now, so I leave that out right now. Thinking it's already messy enough to cover two previous releases though. I' ll run a test on one phrase/one language some time later to see if it got fixed. Anthony, thanks again for the fast confirmation/assignment in english(UK). Current status to view (just in case any co-reader catches interest for his/her language): https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/xenial/+source/ubiquity- slideshow-ubuntu/+pots/ubiquity-slideshow-kubuntu -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1530213 Title: Kubuntu-Frontend: Translation strings for wily and xenial (updated strings for translation needed) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity-slideshow-ubuntu/+bug/1530213/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1530213] Re: Kubuntu-Frontend: Translation strings for wily and xenial (updated strings for translation needed)
@ Anthony Cherio – looks like it works now uniquely & exclusive on Xenial. The Term "KDE Software Compilation" (in short KDE SC) was abolished with the invention of Plasma5, so just changing it to KDE Applications [2] would suit best. Muon-Discover is given up in favour of Plasma-Discover [2] I've made these suggestions now, a few minutes ago, in the English (UK) template for Xenial for approval. [1] https://www.kde.org/announcements/announce-applications-15.12.0.php [2] http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywords=Plasma-Discover=names=all=all The pictures will have to be provided timely by the Kubuntu-Developers- Team as seen in previous releases. Best regards & many thanks for all the hard work that translating means to arrive with us. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1530213 Title: Kubuntu-Frontend: Translation strings for wily and xenial (updated strings for translation needed) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity-slideshow-ubuntu/+bug/1530213/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

This font family features 7 font weights: ExtraLight, Light, Normal, Regular, Meidum, Bold, Heavy and their os2 weight are: 100, 300, 350, 400, 500, 700, 900 respectively. However, in fontconfig, os2 weight class 350 and 400 both maps to weight 80 and I think this makes fontconfig or pango confuse about how to choose the default font. In particular in the GktFontChooser user can't choose one of these fonts. To fix this we probably also have to fix Pango.
