[Bug 1889672] Re: KDE Project Security Advisory: Ark: maliciously crafted archive can install files outside the extraction directory.
thx for quick response and explanation! [Bug 508786] Re: Karmic K3b hangs after creating DVD ISO
In order to save myself from the step of linking an additional file name to the DVD ISO, I unchecked the Remove Image check-box in the burning dialog. It removed the image anyway. Maybe that should be a separate bug or maybe you want to look at that while you're at it. -- Karmic K3b hangs after creating DVD ISO https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/508786 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to k3b in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 508786] [NEW] Karmic K3b hangs after creating DVD ISO
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: k3b Since the video files on my computer are available on a mounted samba file system, I have K3b first creating a DVD ISO file in the default /tmp/kde-roland directory before burning. In the past, this seemed to be the safest way to provide the burning package speedy, reliable data. This worked fine in the Jaunty (KDE3) version of K3b. In the Karmic (KDE4) version, K3b hangs after creating the DVD ISO file and just sits there. If I get a konsole prompt and use ln to link the ISO file to an additional file name, then I can preserve the ISO from the auto-remove function. K3b can then can burn the ISO file fine so the ISO file is good as far as I can tell. [Bug 499938] [NEW] kaffeine-1.0 lacks deinterlace support
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kaffeine Since updating to karmic and kaffeine-1.0~pre2-0ubuntu1, it is no longer possible to apply a deinterlacing filter for the video stream, the Playback -> Video menu which existed in 0.8.7 (from jaunty) is simply not there anymore. Furthermore, I am disappointed about the philosophy to remove features just because porting to the Qt4 and KDE4 release and I can not understand how such an unmature software could make it into the karmic release. ** Affects: kaffeine (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- kaffeine-1.0 lacks deinterlace support https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/499938 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kaffeine in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 430105] Re: amarok doesn't depend on libqt4-sql-sqlite
@#2: I am suggesting libqt4-sql-sqlite should be in depends. What I want is to be able to use amarok after a simple apt-get install amarok on jaunty. What happens: I wanted to use amarok so I just did: $ sudo apt-get install amarok $ amarok I got a screen where I could choose what directories to import. It was automatically selected to use a sqlite database, and it couldn't import any songs. After a: $ apt-get install libqt4-sql-sqlite it worked. In retrospect, I have used amarok on 8.10 before. I just copied my 8.10 ~/Music to my new install. So a old sqlite db could have been in there. Either way, it didn't work out of the box as I expected so moving libqt4-sql-sqlite to the depends would help a lot. -- amarok doesn't depend on libqt4-sql-sqlite https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/430105 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to amarok in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs

Here is the debug output with everything checked in kdebugdialog. After that, I only get a windows of KCrash saying that "The application KPatience (kpat) crashed and caused the signal 6 (SIGABRT)." [Bug 279409] Re: unable to configure a fixed ip on wired interface on knetworkmanager (intrepid)
I traced down this bug to knetworkmanager-0.7/src/knetworkmanager- connection_setting_ipv4.cpp line 220: cur_ip.append(QDBusData::fromUInt32(swap32((*it).netmask.toIPv4Address(; KNetworkManager provides the netmask in decimal notation, but NetworkManager expects it to be in CIDR-notation. I'm not comfortable enough in this codes to provide a patch, but there is an easy workaround you can use until this problem ist fixed. Instead of given the netmask in dotted decimal ("255.255.255.0"), just put the CIDR value into the first field and insert Zeros into the others: "24.0.0.0". A patch could look like this: UInt32 netmask_dec = (*it).netmask.toIPv4Address(); UInt32 netmask_cidr = 0; for (UInt32 bit = 1; bit != 0; bit++) { if (netmask_dec & bit) netmask_cidr++; } cur_ip.append(QDBusData::fromUInt32(swap32(netmask_cidr))); -- unable to configure a fixed ip on wired interface on knetworkmanager (intrepid) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/279409 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to knetworkmanager in ubuntu. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
