[libreoffice-l10n] [ANN] LibreOffice 3.6.0 beta1 available
Hi *, for the upcoming new version 3.6.0, we today upload a first beta1 build that is (almost) feature-complete. For further milestones on the way towards 3.6.0, please refer to our release plan timings here: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/ReleasePlan#3.6_release Builds are now being uploaded to a public (but non-mirrored - so don't spread news too widely!) place, as soon as they're available. Grab them here: http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/pre-releases/ If you've a bit of time, please give them a try & report *critical* bugs not yet in bugzilla here, so we can incorporate them into the release notes. Please note that it takes approximately 24 hours to populate the mirrors, so that's about the time we have to collect feedback. The list of fixed bugs relative to 3.5.4 is here: http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/pre-releases/src/bugfixes-libreoffice-3-6-release-3.5.99.1.log So playing with the areas touched there also greatly appreciated - and validation that those bugs are really fixed. Depending on how careful you are with keeping up your Pootle headers, you may want to look into the PO file header line Project-Id-Version: and do something to increment it as well. cjl -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to l10n+h...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/l10n/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted

Many thanks for your advise, it is good to know that this method is working somewhere else. We don't allow git commits from Pootle, because build system does not tolerate errors in po files, so our use case is simpler that yours. In essence, you are freezing the old project (creating a new project for it on Poolte) and just renaming the head project (with all of it's commit pointers to the master branch repo). I do suggest doing some testing on your commit links from the Poolte UI to make sure nothing unexpected occurred during the process. cjl Sugar Labs Translation Team Coordinator http://translate.sugarlabs.org/ -- Unsubscribe instructions: E-mail to l10n+h...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/l10n/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted

Re: [libreoffice-l10n] Extensions page translation bug
Hi, 2012.06.05. 22:34 keltezéssel, khagaroth írta: The sentence 'LibreOffice Extensions are tools that can be added or removed independently...' on the extension page home page is only partially translated (only the bold part). I have noticed it on Czech translation, but all the other languages have the same problem, except for German, that one is different, because it doesn't have the bold part bold and the whole sentence is translated. Yes, second part of sentence lost during po2html conversion, I did not find the reason. The issue will be handled by manual copypasting, I suppose. [libreoffice-l10n] Translation of LibreOffice 3.6 - Plan
Hi, Release of LibreOffice 3.6 is approaching, we need to start translation. The amount of new or changed strings are low, compared to LibreOffice 3.5 there are 388 in the UI and 148 in the help, 2671 words in total. Clearly, most of the work has been done under the hood, not many new UI elements have been added, not to mention help. On the other hand, many old, unused code lines were removed, so the total wordcount of the whole suite is lower than ever. I think this is good news from the localizers' point of view. :) My plan is the following: 1. This weekend I pull 3.5 translations from Pootle for the 3.5.5 RC1 release. 2. Then I rename LibreOffice 3.5 projects in Pootle to LibreOffice 3.6 and update the files. At the same time I import LibreOffice 3.5 templates and translations to a new LibreOffice 3.5 project. This way we migrate all history, suggestions and whatnot from 3.5 to 3.6. At the same time these will not be available in the new 3.5 project, but I don't think it is a big a problem. Please work on 3.6 translations at the first place, and only backport bugfixes to 3.5, just like developers do. 3. LibreOffice 3.4 is dead, nobody plans to release anything from that branch. It will be removed from Pootle. Pootle will be down, when I do all these housekeeping tasks. Please shout, if you disagree.
