Something like that merits a translator's comment.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leading

might make a good choice.

That's a term from lead blocks typography times.
Means always add fixed amount *between* the text
lines. As that sort of the specialized
terminology went out of use somewhat, yes, it's
rather hard to translate meaningfully and tersely.

[libreoffice-l10n] Leading - translate tip

2013-07-26 Thread Mihovil Stanić

Hi all,

Just wanted to give you heads up on this word since some of you maybe
translated it wrong (like me).

https://translations.documentfoundation.org/hr/libo_ui/translate.html#unit=29714850
https://translations.documentfoundation.org/hr/libo_ui/translate.html#unit=40366523
https://translations.documentfoundation.org/hr/libo_ui/translate.html#unit=29762908

Those 3 strings are Leading. We translated it in term of leading zeroes,
something that is in front of something else, it's leading someone or
something.

Well, as it turns out, that is wrong.

Leading = Line spacing
http://desktoppub.about.com/od/glossary/g/Leading.htm

So, how ever you translated "Line spacing" you should translate those 3
"Leading" strings.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Best regards,
Mihovil
