Hi Keith, hi Matthias, hi all!
I have tried to reset the password and to continue registration again now,
but received no messages. Maybe Pootle server has some restrictions and
mistakenly considers me as the wrong person. I don't know...
I will try to create the new account request from another e-mail. If this
attempt will fail, then I will ask for more help :) I apologize in
advance...

I just created a test account for myself then used the rest link from the
Guide and I received the reset e-mail link from the Guide in my spam folder.
Now I am totally confused

Matthias, the Welcome message  has always been sent by the person that created
the account. There is a Managing Pootle section in the Pootle Guide at
https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Pootle_User_Guide/Managing_Pootle that has a
template e-mail to be sent.

Changed thank you. I also just sent a reply to Mechtilde about some problems
that I still see with the login link giving a page not found and the the base
link logging me in with my admin privileges and no way to logout.

Hi Matthias;

It getting into the spam folder is a distinct possibility. Let me try adding a
test account with my gmail address also just to see if we can at least rule
out a problem with gmail

Hi Matthias

Did you use your LDAP credentials or your @apache.org e-mail Address? I
remember having problem with mail accounts other than commiter accounts a few
years back. I will try a couple of things to possibly narrow it down

Thank you for catching my typo Mattias. Unfortunately I did one than just did
a copy and paste to the other. As far as the possible switch to the old URL,
In the next few daysIplan to update
https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Pootle_User_Guide/Managing_Pootle by
commenting out the e-mail template for the old URL and Adding one for the new
URL. That way if we do switch back to the old one at some point the sections
can just be reveresd and the old URL restored
