[lace] Honiton, Wymondham lace day
My wonderful lace teacher wrote a couple of months ago asking for people to suggest lace places for my sister and me to visit in England. (She just graduated from college and wanted to take a trip there to celebrate.) You all gave lots of good suggestions, and now I need some specific information on the two places we'll be going. I'm wanting to go to the Lace Day in Wymondham on June 17th. Can anyone give me details on the location, time, etc? After the Lace Day, we'll be going to Honiton, but we can't find a bus system that runs between the two places! Can anyone give me any tips? You can e-mail me privately at [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thanks so much! --Breana in Jacksonville Try Juno Platinum for Free! Then, only $9.95/month! Unlimited Internet Access with 1GB of Email Storage. I should have added that the shipping charges are horrendous... so be forewarned before you bid too hastily! [lace] nice find on eBay
There's something nice to see on eBay right now... It's the working part of a "lacemaker's lamp"... but the amazing thing is that this is the real thing, and the seller never even calls it a "lacemaker's lamp" (because it isn't...) Thought some of you would enjoy looking, and maybe even buying. I wonder what it will fetch? http://tinyurl.com/rx7tb Clay Clay Blackwell Lynchburg, VA USA [EMAIL PROTECTED] - To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

RE: [lace] Hello
Hi Daphne, Welcome to Arachne on behalf from an Australian spider! I do hope you enjoy our chatter about lace subjects here. It's rather quiet at the moment, why not post a message about what type of lace you like to do. I'm teaching myself 's Gravensmoer from a book at the moment, and having a lot of fun doing so. [lace] Christmas balls and lace day reminder
In message <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes >Our balls will be on sale at the Museum in November when the Christmas >display is put up. However, I think we can fill orders for them now, if >anyone >needs early Christmas balls. Depending on where you are at the moment, Elaine, is there any chance you could bring one with you to our lace day? Just a quick reminder to everyone else who is likely to be in the UK Midlands in June that tickets are available from me for the Tamworth and Newton Regis Lace Day (fairly near to Junction 11 of the M42) on Saturday 3rd June. David Turner of Church Meadow Crafts will be giving a talk "How we got to here" which is about how they started in business and how pillows are made. Church Meadow Crafts and Winslow Bobbins are our suppliers. Email me for further details. Proceeds are going to David's chosen charity, Education Action International. -- Jane Partridge - To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Re: [lace] Question re: notes
Dear Laura, N.B. stands for Nota Bene, which is Latin for "Note Well" David in Ballarat Yesterday while I was at a friends making lace, she came across the initials "N.B." on one of her note sheets from an instructor. We figured it meant "note", but would love to know the direct meaning of the initials. Thanks in advance!
