[lace] Arachne Webshots

2012-03-15 Thread Sue
Over the last week I have changed computers and of course lost all my
bookmarked sites which includes the webshots and I cant for the life of me
remember the original way to get in, so if someone could send me the link I
would appreciate it.

Hi Sue -

Go to Webshots. The user name is arachne2003 and the password is honiton. I'm
not sure whether these are case sensitive or not, so if it doesn't work as
written above, then capitalize the words.

2009-04-25 Thread Maureen Bromley

Hi Paula

All you have to do is enjoy your lacemaking. It doesnt matter which lace
you work as experience improves everyones lace. I have been lacemaking
for well over 30+ (probably nearer 40) and when I look back on the lace I
worked in the early days I see how much I have improved. As a teacher I
leave these in my folder to show beginners that they can, and do, improve.
I do work all types of lace, have dabbled into the continental lace, but for
me, the freedom of the english laces appeal more to me.

Above all enjoy

Hi Paula!

Thank you very much!

I want to encourage you to keep working on your lace!! I have not been
making lace forever... I started in 1998. After five years of working
Torchon, Bucks, and Milanese, I had the opportunity to take a workshop
with Michael Giusiana, and for the past six years, I have focused on
Binche. I have done occasional small projects in other laces along the
way, but my concentration is on Binche. My point is that you don't have
to have 30+ years of lacemaking under your belt to work in Binche!
Start with Flanders... that will give you experience in continental
work, and then when you're feeling more confident, move on to Binche.

The main thing is to enjoy!!

2005-02-20 Thread Elizabeth Ligeti
When I click on the Arachne Webshots, as in my Favourites, I can only get a
few people's albums.
When I went to the url given by Carolina to get to Rhianna's photos, (many
thanks for that, I could not get them any other way, either!) I see there is
a long list of albums by Arachne lacemakers.
Why does this not come up for me? Has the address changed recently?
I put in the url without Rhianna's number on the end, and just got this web
page has gone, or some such notice.

[lace] Arachne webshots details

2004-01-25 Thread Jennifer Nielsen
Hi all,

Could I please have some help, I bookmarked the Webshots page and put the
username and password somewhere altogether too safe as I can't find it g.
Could the details be posted to the List again. This time I promise I will
look after them a bit better :)

This is a wonderful forum. The discussion on the IOLI Conference is most
illuminating. Living on the wrong side of the equator *and* the wrong side
of the Pacific totally precludes my budget from allowing me to attend. I
have thoroughly enjoyed hearing both sides of the discussions. Please,
please, let us also hear your views - both sides - at the conclusion of the
event.

Thanks Sonja for the details for Kniplecafen. I have subscribed and enjoy
following the discussions.
