[lace] Strange magazine received
Fellow lacemakers, Kant in Vlaanderen magazine arrived in the mail yesterday, it looks like a really nice publication. I wish I could read the contents as the pictures have me intriqued. I do remember requesting a free trail issue, and as I haven't subscribed to anything from Belgium, this would be the only way I could get this. For anyone that can read Belgium, lucky you with a new puclication.Maybe there will be translation in the future. Thanks for telling us what is it Agnes. Although the website was automatically translated so I can read what it's all about, I wouldn't think the web site will translate the whole magazine - there'd be no need for people to subscribe if they did. As I can't read it, I won't be continuing with it. Jean in Poole, Dorset, UK - To unsubscribe send email to majord...@arachne.com containing the line: unsubscribe lace y...@address.here. Hello lacemakers, Somehow, this rings a bell to me, I think we were given the option of requesting a free magazine. I don't remember if I did or not, free is a big temptation, if I get one then I must have! They could also be sending to previous subscribers to get exposure! Nice to get something lacey in the mail, Irene Whitham Surrey, BC Canada who just finished a lace garter in 11 days.phew!!! - To unsubscribe send email to majord...@arachne.com containing the line: unsubscribe lace y...@address.here. So, that means I can be excused from translating. Many thanks Jo. Re: [lace] Strange magazine received
Anyone get the impression that Agnes can read it??? Probably helps that she is Dutch by birth!! So Jean and Ilske, if you need a translation it would seem you've found the solution (LOL - Agnes won't talk to me now for suggesting that) Sue in EY On 8 Jun 2010, at 09:51, Agnes Boddington wrote: Hello Jean I too received one of these magazines from this organisation called "Lace in Flanders", a not for profit organization (this is the vzw bit behind the name). I too, got one of this magazines. But, as Agnes wrote, I can't remember having given my address somewhere but didn't somebody tell us over the list of something free about some weeks ago? My problem is it took me too long to read it because I can't Netherlands, what a pity. The magazine is written in "foreign", with no English translation, so I have no idea what any of it says.
