Cheree,
Welcome to the list. I hope you will find it as helpful and interesting as I
have. There always seems to be someone out there who is doing something
interesting or has the answer to a question.

A warm welcome to Jolene Vicki.
Please tell us where you are from, even if you just say nearest big town
or city country.
Remember we were all beginners at one time we know how it feels to ask
lots of questions.

Last night I started making a 3D angel from one of the little books
Julelkniplinger #2 written
by Jana Novak Aase Gliese. I finished the smaller part this morning
now want to start the
bigger part. I'm thinking of working it in the opposite direction so
that when I finish the head

the halo, then it will have some hair. Has anyone else made this angel?

Thank you for the welcome all, I look forward to reading more. I am in
Roanoke, VA if there is a guild in the area I do not know about it. I have
been here about 2 years now. I also am a spinner, weaver, knitter, and
anything to do with fiber interests me.

I don't know what the local guild is, but I do know that Clay Blackwell
organizes the most wonderful lacemaking week at Sweet Briar College,
Lynchburg each summer. I'm sure Clay will be in touch with you to tell you
more

I will eventually find the closest guild, I have been intrigued with lace
for a number of years now. I find myself drawn to it and love the history
behind each kind of lace. I know I will learn a lot from all of you! Thank
you again, at the moment I am not working on a lace piece as I need to
purchase all the tools and materials again. Long story but I am starting
over stash wise, so it should be fun to shop around for a pillow, or make
one bobbins, etc.

Hi Mindy!

I'm also in this list. I don't post a lot but I really enjoy the list. Can
you post the link to your web site? I have lost all my links becasue I have
now a new computer.

I'm diying to see what you have come up with Irish Crochet. I haven't done
nothing recently but Irish Crochet is one of my passions. Well among my other
passions like Tatting, Torchon, Stained Glass, Quilling, Crochet, Hairpin
Lace, Knitting, Needlelace, Tenerife... LOL!!! I think I'm a passionated
lacemaker afterall.

Take care!

I'm new to the list..just joinedMy name is Mindy.

My lacemaking interests are Irish crochet, tatting, bobbin lace, needlelace and I've
just taken my first taneriffe lace workshop, which was fun!

I hope there are some other Irish crochet lovers here. I've just begun my website and
have my Irish crochet designs up.

Looking forward in learning much from our dear lacemakers around the world!!

Hi Mindy,

Well, you're a Spider now! Since you just joined, you will just have missed the
notice of a lovely Irish Crochet motif that Avital just posted. Her own design, I am
so impressed.
