Re: [lace] New to the list
Cheree, Welcome to the list. I hope you will find it as helpful and interesting as I have. There always seems to be someone out there who is doing something interesting or has the answer to a question. RE: [lace] New to the list
A warm welcome to Jolene Vicki. Please tell us where you are from, even if you just say nearest big town or city country. Remember we were all beginners at one time we know how it feels to ask lots of questions. Last night I started making a 3D angel from one of the little books Julelkniplinger #2 written by Jana Novak Aase Gliese. I finished the smaller part this morning now want to start the bigger part. I'm thinking of working it in the opposite direction so that when I finish the head the halo, then it will have some hair. Has anyone else made this angel? I don't know what the local guild is, but I do know that Clay Blackwell organizes the most wonderful lacemaking week at Sweet Briar College, Lynchburg each summer. I'm sure Clay will be in touch with you to tell you more Sue sueba...@comcast.net - To unsubscribe send email to majord...@arachne.com containing the line: unsubscribe lace y...@address.here. Re: [lace] New to the list
I will eventually find the closest guild, I have been intrigued with lace for a number of years now. I find myself drawn to it and love the history behind each kind of lace. I know I will learn a lot from all of you! Thank you again, at the moment I am not working on a lace piece as I need to purchase all the tools and materials again. Long story but I am starting over stash wise, so it should be fun to shop around for a pillow, or make one bobbins, etc. Vicki On Wed, Oct 26, 2011 at 9:47 AM, Sue Babbs sueba...@comcast.net wrote: I don't know what the local guild is, but I do know that Clay Blackwell organizes the most wonderful lacemaking week at Sweet Briar College, Lynchburg each summer.
