An equally interesting question would be, Are there any lace shops where lace
supplies may be obtained in the US at all, or even in Canada?
My impression has been that there are no store front lace shops on this
continent, but rather that they are all mail/internet order operations whose
major opportunity to display wares is during lace days and the convention. In
some cases, I suppose a private appointment may be made to visit the home of
the vendor and see wares, if it is convenient. Am I wrong about this?
I have often encountered people who are hopeful that traveling to a place far
distant?from where they?live will yield a lace shop that they can walk into
during regular business hours,?and browse anonymously, as one is accustomed to
doing when buying other things. But I think getting on the internet, or trying
to catch a lace day (probably harder to do when out of one's own home area) are
the usual ways of shopping for lace supplies.
Is there such a thing as a store front, walk in, lace shop in this country? It
is hard to imagine that any lace shop could make enough profit to cover rent
and pay staff to stand at the counter.

Subject: [lace] Shopping help
Hello, fellow spiders and spiderettes :D?
?
I will be travelling to Hunt Valley, MD towards the end of the month for
mandatory fun for my job blech. I wanted to find out if there are any lace
shops in that area that might make the trip a little bit more bearable. After
all, if I can get supplies for my obsession, er, I mean, hobby, it might make
the whole trip worthwhile.?
?
Thanks in advance for any help. Feel free to reply to me at
roxw...@krafters.net to keep this off the list. I'm posting here because I
think there are more on lace than on chat (please don't shoot me).?
