Dear Secret Pal,

Many thanks for your parcel that arrived today.
It is so exciting every month to open up and find out what you have sent.
Don't worry your parcel is not late - I do hope your husband is better now.
The souvenir handkerchief is always handy I use one to keep the thread
protected in my work box.
The third hand is brilliant - have never seen one before but heard of them and
now I got one.
I think I will use the scarf as a cover cloth as it is such a nice pattern on
it.
See you have been to Mt Eliza lace day a few years back, it is nice with the
commemorative bobbins.
Last but not least a very nice purse - you do spoil me.
Many many thanks for all you sent and I do look forward to get to know who you
are as I do not have a clue.

Happy lacing and thanks again from Sonja

Dear Secret Pal,

You are spoiling me with all your lovely gifts - many thanks dear friend.
The merino wool scarf is so soft and it will be or is ready a big favourite of
mine.
I have used it all day since it came this morning and it is so nice and warm
over my shoulders.
Also many thanks for nice Australian candy I have never seen them before.
It is so nice to try different things to what I can get here.
I have just been into the website and looked around at Australia Zoo -
it is amazing how much we learn from this lacemaking list about all aspects of
life not just lace.
The bright note pad comes handy and so does the hanky and earrings.
Again many thanks and I wish you could have seen me when I opened the parcel
from you today.
All the best from Sonja in UK

Dear Secret Pal,

Thank you for my parcel that arrived today.
I do like the look of the flowers in the address book.
The nature is so different from ours.
The little Easter bunny is sitting here feeding me - it is lovely.
I do like the fragrance of the perfume and the bath gloves are
really good. I have used the same type a long time so they will be of good
use.
I have never used Bouc linen so that will be interesting how it is
compared with Bocken and Moravia linen I mostly used.
Many thanks for finding out about the wood for the bobbins.
They have such a nice feel.
Many thanks again /Sonja

Dear Secret Pal,

Thank you for the lovely surprise I received from you today.
The calendar with the pictures is so nice and I can dream about all places to
visit and having a good guess where you live.
Hankies far to nice to use and I love the little teddy.
The bobbins are so smooth and have a nice neck with space for a lot of thread.
Do you know the name of the wood?
The box with the lady bird you sent them in is perfect for keeping my long hat
pins in.
Scissor holder and pin cushion - did you make them yourself? I'm not good in
sewing so I'm so pleased I got them.
I like to work with the Swedish linen thread so that comes very handy as I'm
going to make a bookmark for a friend.
Many thanks for all and you sent me and I do hope you are getting a lot of
goodies as well from your SP.

 Thanks again / Sonja

Hi Tamara,
Pomeransskal is the dried peel from the citrus fruit pomerans.
Seville orange tree, bitter orange tree and sour orange tree are names I
have heard for the tree.
Pomeranstern is the Danish word for the peel when it is diced.
So what you need is some Seville orange peel diced.

Good Luck /Sonja the Swede living in UK

Dear Kiwi SP or maybe I can write Julie now,

Got your parcel today and you do spoil me - I know it would come late but I
don't mind at all.
How thoughtful of you to send another soap - will soon tell you what I use it
for.
What a lot of goodies you put together for me and I love the handmade paper
you wrapped it all in. That paper will be reused..
The photostand is brilliant I will keep that for my must remember notes by
my side here at the computer.
The angel pin will go on my jacket - I love different pins and broaches
especially angels, cats and hats.
What a nice needle holder - so smooth and silky feel to it - do you know what
wood it is made in ?
Good with a kiwi pen around my neck - that one I ought to be able to hang on
to - I have a habit to loose my pens all the time.
I hope you will get a lovely time in USA and you will hear from me when you
get back again.
 Take care / Sonja

Dear Kiwi SP,

Your parcel to me arrived this morning.
Whooow what a lovely selection of goodies you sent to me.

NZ Lace Society magnet is already on the lid of my pin tin - I love all
different badges, club pins etc.

The napkins are always handy to have and I like the motif you chose for me.

Notepads with Kingfisher the bird that is my favourite after the Puffin.

The book is perfect and I will use it for my divider pins.
It jogged my memory as I have one like this before all in wood with leather
ribbons.
This book/block is an old tradition from an island in my old homecountry.
You hang the book above the door on top of the doorpost and if you can
see the book cover from the outside stay away, if you can see it open you
are welcome.
On mine you can read glasses, false teeth and legs are all good friends on
the side showing you are welcome.
I can scan and show it to you when I know who you are.
You gave me a really good idea for making Christmas presents - thank you

Also how on earth did you know I was looking for a small soap!!!
I need it for something else than washing myself and I will tell you about
it after this SP months are over I think I will write too much here
otherwise.

Once again thank you very much !

   / Sonja

Dear Kiwi SP,

This morning I got my parcel so now I can stop worry.
I have had some post gone missing the last year and I got a bit worried and
thought No not again..

I see you have been busy sewing lately - no lacemaking then.
I haven't made much lace this summer it has been too sticky and I just
haven't got around to it lately.

Many thanks for the nice items you sent to me.
The bobbin with the little kiwi is great I will think of you - whoever you
are I have no clue - in the future when I see it on my pillow.
Notepads I can never get too many of and I understand Aotearoa is the Maori
word for New Zealand.
Cat bookmark - purrfect for a catlover.
The variegated pearl cotton thread is so nice in the colours and how nice
with something different. Is Thelma's Threads a local name? I will use it as
gimp in a pattern for a butterfly I have on my to do list.
The little delicate box has so soft pastel colours I will put it on my shelf
with other treasured items I have got over the years.

   Many
thanks / Sonja

Dear Kiwi Secret Pal,

Many thanks for your parcel it came this morning and it brightened up this
rainy morning.
I like the coasters and how nice to see pictures from your place in the
world.
The small wooden pegs go in my Honiton workbox I find them very good to
temporary mark a certain bobbin with.
Maybe I will use some of them for making a card for a newborn baby in a
friends house...
The bobbins made in rimu wood I understand that is New Zealand red pine.
Very nice and smooth to handle and great to add to my bobbin collection.
Pen and paper I can never get too much of..
Some people are shopaholics etc I can call myself a penaholic I always want
more of them.

Thank you once again and I look forward to hearing from you next month.
