Thank you for the contribution Jaume. It works smoothly. Much appreciated .

Mobile security can be enabling, not merely restricting. Employees who
bring their own devices (BYOD) to work are irked by the imposition of MDM
restrictions. Mobile Device Manager Plus allows you to control only the
apps on BYO-devices by containerizing them, leaving personal data untouched!

True. But these examples are intrinsically ambiguous. You can only know the
meaning with the help of the person who utters the sentence ;-)

The sentences on the left, usually are built in other ways to make them
more understandable (I think):
- No lo digo sino que lo hago.
- Esto debe hacerse ahora, o (bien) más tarde. (?)

However the rules in Catalan will be useful for clear cases. Thank you for

I have committed the rules adapted for Spanish. The most interesting rule
(the first one) probably will need a much better disambiguation of
nouns/verbs to be really useful. A number of false alarms should be
expected in the tests. We can either disable the rule or improve the
disambiguation.

I have some examples where both can be used but can have different meaning
and lead to confusion:

"No lo digo sino lo hago" =/= "No lo digo si no lo hago"
"Esto debe hacerse ahora, si no más tarde" =?= "Esto no debe hacerse ahora,
sino más tarde"

However the rules in Catalan will be useful for clear cases. Thank you for
the offer.

It would be useful for English, too (your vs. you're). I won't be
working on this anytime soon, contributions are welcome.

I don't think this case is dependant on semantics (leaving a part "sino" as
a noun, which usually has a determinant). It depends on the structure of
the sentence. The rules used in Catalan can be adapted quite directly. Let
me try to do it.

Great! Is there any chance to get multword confusion chunks? Some like 'si
no' <-> 'sino' usage, heavily dependant son semantics.

Spanish confusion rule

2016-05-12 Thread Daniel Naber
Hi,

after some technical problems the Spanish confusion sets are now
activated on languagetool.org. The rule can detect word confusion of
these pairs:

https://github.com/languagetool-org/languagetool/blob/master/languagetool-language-modules/es/src/main/resources/org/languagetool/resource/es/confusion_sets.txt

As always with statistics, this doesn't mean that it finds the confusion
every time, but many pairs work quite okay, they have a >70% chance of
finding the confusion.

Regards
  Daniel
