Um. Okay, color me stupid. For some reason, I mixed up pump and DHCPd for some reason. DHCPd is not loaded in there by default, but is on the disk. Sorry for confusing you... Beyond of all features you explained, we could build a fall-back-engine from DSL (if fails) to isdn or even analog. Buying that kind of feature from a commercial FW is horribly expensiv. I am currently weighing my options as to what software to use as a primary name server on my ... name server. Right now it's down to either maradns or bind 8.2.3. With the exception of there being a couple known bugs in bind 8.2.3 I see nothing between the two pieces of software that puts one ahead of the other. Or you can do pump -s it will tell you more details about the DHCP status of your router. Try to ping IP instead of names first as you may need to specify the DNS. Your ISP DNSes will be listed in the output of the above command. [leaf-user] Do I need to adjust my MTU?
I just noticed (I've been using LEAF for a couple of years now) that the MTU for eth0 and eth1 is set at 1500 but the MTU for ppp0 is 1492. I'm told that's to make room for an 8-byte pppoe header.
