Make sure you're running the stats server (/usr/sbin/stat.sh via inetd),
and have the weblet version that includes the client-side bandwidth
montior application (lrpStat.jar).

Dachstein specific files available from my site:
http://www.leaf-project.org/devel/cstein/Packages/weblet.htm
Info on properly installing and configuring lrpStat is available on
Martin Hejl's page:

[leaf-user] Blockin ipip.o protocol

2003-08-05 Thread bino-psn
Dear All.
I'm not too familiar with iptables.
Kindly please anybody send me the list of ip_option or iptables command that
potentialy blocking the ipip protocol ?

I build a tunnel (ipip) to a SuSe box, and looks like that box is blocking
this protocol.
I do iptables -L on that box and got a bunch of ip_option bla bla bla ...
i don't know the meaning of that codes.

Sincerely

RE: [leaf-user] Question: Bering static DHCP configuration

2003-08-05 Thread Greg Playle
sigh RTFM rides again I found everything I needed in the DHCP man pages.

The deny unknown-hosts command was what I wanted.

It's up to the rest of the packages to reject traffic from unknown hosts that are
using a fixed IP that would otherwise be on the subnet.

Subject:[leaf-user] Question: Bering static DHCP configuration

Thank you to all that have helped me learn a bit as I go.

My question now is: I'd like to configure the internal network to ONLY
assign IP addresses to certain machines. I don't seem to have it correctly
configured. Could someone point me to something to read / learn about
this?

I've checked the FAQ, read the User Guide and the Installation Guide, and
Googled, but don't seem to find what I'm after.

..snipped content.

 Or you can do

 pump -s

it will tell you more details about the DHCP status of your router.

Running ip addr returns no ip for eth0. Eth1 gets the static address
it has been assigned. Running pump -s returns Operation failed, as
do pump -R or -r, with or without adding pump -i eth0.
I tried switching the order of the nic drivers to see if it was a
hardware problem. They both run fine as eth1, and fail to collect an
ip as eth0. I tried not loading the shorwall package (read somewhere that
it might block packages from the dhcp server), to no avail. My debian
box has no problem connecting, no fancy configurations required by the
provider, same /etc/network/interfaces as the default LEAF box one
(minus the static eth1, only one nic). Dhclient gets an ip no problem.
Really, I have no idea what might be going wrong. I briefly tried running
with the dhclient.lrp package, but it seems to require a file called
/etc/init.d/network in some scripts, which isn't there. Maybe I need to
explore this route further, but it's strange that pump doesn't want to
work.
