[leaf-user] squid-2.lrp on wisp 2470

2003-03-26 Thread Nicolas Cedraschi
Hello everybody,

I tried to add the squid-2.lrp package out of the
Oxygen_Mar.2001_pkg_packages tarball into a running wisp distribution
(2470). The result was a segmentation fault and a unstable system.
Is there another package for squid working with wisp or is it just my
configuration?

Thanks regards

Re: [leaf-user] IPSec for latest wisp-distibution.

2003-01-22 Thread Nicolas Cedraschi
Thanks

It seems that the ipsec module is needed. Do you know, if the actual
kernel is patched for freeswan or if we need a dedicated kernel?

Bering packages for 2.4.20 kernels may do. Although I'm not sure if
ipsec support is compiled in or it's in modules in Bering.

Hi everybody,

Thanks for your competent help so far (Special thanks to Vladimir),
we really profited of your knowledge.

Here rolls in the next question

Is there a dedicated ipsec module and package around for wisp?
Or will any bering module/package do?

All the best

[leaf-user] Troubles with backup of wdist-2003-01-09(2740)

2003-01-15 Thread Nicolas Cedraschi
Hi everybody,

We installed the test release of wisp (wdist-2003-01-09(2740)) (seems to
work fine).
Then we installed the bering pcmcia package from the sourceforge page
and it works fine.
But as soon as we back up wisp for the first time and reboot it, it
doesn't manage to insert the modules of
pcmcia.lrp anymore. It prints the following errors:

Using /modules/pcmcia/pcmcia_core.o
insmod: unresolved symbol pm_unregister_all
insmod: unresolved symbol pm-register

Using /modules/pcmcia/i82365.o
insmod: unresolved symbol unregister_ss_entry
insmod: unresolved symbol pci_irq_mask
insmod: unresolved symbol register_ss_entry
insmod: unresolved symbol CardServices

Using /modules/pcmcia/ds.o
insmod: unresolved symbol proc_pccard
insmod: unresolved symbol CardServices

The pcmcia package seems to be incompatible with wdist-2003-01-09(2740)
or at least
it has troubles to digest a backup.
Is there a version around that is compatible with this version of wdist.
We need the pcmcia.lrp package since we need to access a modem via minicom
(there's no serial_cs.o in wisp-dist_2469_modules)

Thanks

Nicolas and Daniel

Re: [leaf-user] wisp with serial_cs and yenta_socket?

2003-01-09 Thread Nicolas Cedraschi
Thanks

Does the i82365 module also replaces the serial_cs.o (which we need for
a modem) or is there another according module in this configuration?

Vladimir I. wrote:

Try the latest test WISP-Dist release from
http://www.hazard.maks.net/wisp-dist/downloads.

Also, WISP-Dist does not use in-kernel PCMCIA drivers, so there is no
yenta_socket conf, it uses i82365 and other modules instead. I found
them to be more flexible than yenta_socket which doesn't work on some
of the hardware.

hi everybody,

serial_cs we found in the pcmcia.lrp package. When we tried to load,
it gave us the following error:

serial_cs: Card Services release does not match!

Where could we get the appropriate version of serial_cs to use
minicom to configure the modem or how
can we get it runnin' otherwise?

Is the integration of new modules into wisp straight forward, as in
bering?

Furthermore, we are still looking for the appropriate yenta_socket
module for wisp.
Does anybody know, where we can get these?

Thanx in advance
