RE: [leaf-user] Tulip and Dachstein
Thanks for your responses but I have advanced not one centimetre! I can't find tulip_old.o although I can find lots of references to it. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Do I need to recompile for Dachstein?? ___ Don't miss the 2002 Sprint PCS Application Developer's Conference August 25-28 in Las Vegas -- http://devcon.sprintpcs.com/adp/index.cfm leaf-user mailing list: [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/leaf-user SR FAQ: http://leaf-project.org/pub/doc/docmanager/docid_1891.html

The Dachstein tulip.o module depends on it. Do I need to recompile for Dachstein?? No. You shouldn't need to. -- Mike Noyes [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://sourceforge.net/users/mhnoyes/ http://leaf-project.org/ ___ Don't miss the 2002 Sprint PCS Application Developer's Conference August 25-28 in Las Vegas -- http://devcon.sprintpcs.com/adp/index.cfm leaf-user mailing list: [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/leaf-user SR FAQ: http://leaf-project.org/pub/doc/docmanager/docid_1891.html

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Do I need to recompile for Dachstein?? Well, I thought I saw it in the modules directory several months ago, but after checking myself it doesn't appear to be there. I'm running 2.2.19 on my Slack8 machine, which does have the old_tulip module included. I haven't compiled a 2.2.x kernel more recent than 2.2.18 myself, but a year ago while compiling many 2.4.x kernels I remember that there was a kernel option pertaining to the Linksys tulip chipset. This option should be for the older tulip chipset (Linksys ver.2) and is not compatible with the newer tulip module (as found through many distro newsgroups when 2.2.18 came out). I can't say that this will work, but I can send you a copy of the old_tulip.o off of my Slack8 (2.2.19) machine and see if it works for you. I'll send it as an attachment if you mail me off-list. [leaf-user] Tulip and Dachstein
Can anybody tell me if its possible to have the old Tulip driver working with Dachstein? Does it need to be re-compiled to work? I have it working with Eigerstein, but the Tulip in Dachstein doesn't work for me so I thought I would try the old version. Thanks for your assistance. There is a tulip_old.o or old_tulip.o module that will work with the older chipset if the new tulip.o doesn't work. You'll have to get it from Charles' site for the floppy image (in the small directory) or it should be on the CD-ROM version.
