Re: [LU] FFS
I am not deluded enough to think that for a young player like Byram he has ambitions that rest beyond my club and I have to reluctantly accept that. I still think Byram is playing a the system and his agent is at it in the background. Cellino is maintaining that he will not sell him in January because we don't need to which presumably means he will walk away for nothing at the end of the season. Why he would carry out contract negotiations aimed at making him want to go for nothing? It makes no sense and whatever any of you think about Cellino has proven he can run a football club when it comes to finances. At the end of the day Byram is on a wage and an employee of the club. As such he should play when and where instructed and to a reasonable standard. He won't be the first player to not put in a shift to force a move and he won't be the last. I'm for getting rid for as much as we can to the club that best suits us. Re: [LU] FFS
This is classic Cellino - it's the redders thing all over again. Slag him off to try to turn the fans against him so they'll accept its for the best when he gets sold to a premiership team. He hasn't played well this season but as others have said, he's playing out of position and the owners trying to get him to take a pay cut. I'd love him to stay but i wouldn't blame him if he went. It's the crazy Italian we need rid of. Is it any coincidence that his recent outburst was after Pearson had gone? It's akin to constructive dismissal imho, play him out of position to p him off, then offer him a pay cut to rub salt in the wounds, then act surprised when he wants to leave and make out he's the one that's disloyal - I thought we'd seen the end of cuddly ken! I know what I'd be doing. And isn't it inevitable that good players, particularly young good players, will always leave? Anyone who is a professional sports man or woman must be motivated by a desire to win and achieve the most they can, to succeed they've got to have drive and ambition. If you're not reaching your full potential (whether that's medals, trophies, money, promotions, records, personal goals etc) in the team/club/group you're with then you're going to move. And if you don't have that drive and ambition to succeed then you won't be a very good professional athlete anyway. ___ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email leedslist-unsubscr...@gn.apc.org MARCHING ON TOGETHER

I don't believe for one minute that Leeds were trying to get Byram to sign a new contract offering less money than he is on at the moment. Sounds like his agent is at work here. It's been pretty clear for some time that he has no desire to remain at the club and wants a big money move. I'd let him go to the highest bidder, I don't think signing Buckley is a coincidence - Byram has been wank this season albeit being played out of position.
