[LU] Pontus
I know it is sacreligious to do so, but nevertheless I am going to dare to criticise Jansson. We know, from all the interminable gossip about his permanent transfer, that he has now played 21 games for us. And he's picked up 10 bookings??!! That is ridiculous! OK, so bookings are a bit of an occupational hazard for a committed CB, and I certainly thought that last night's booking was incredibly harsh (wasn't even a foul in my book), but really10 in 21 games?! How many of those were stupid, unnecessary cards? I'm pretty sure he got a yellow for dissent over the non-penalty incident v Newcastle, and I'm sure he must have got a yellow for launching hissen into the crowd after scoring at Norwich. Now he's going to miss the game v Derby who, guess what, have just signed Nugent, who always scores against us. ___ Leedslist mailing list Info and options: http://mailman.greennet.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/leedslist To unsubscribe, email leedslist-unsubscr...@gn.apc.org MARCHING ON TOGETHER
Re: [LU] Big Incentive?
Some pretty dire performances although most players improved in the 2nd half. After that should not get in the starting team v Derby. But I guess he offers more versatility from the bench than Antonnson IMO Mowatt showed for the first time in a while that he is a good player last night. Only one able to play football in the first half when Cambridge were flying around like crazy. I'd say he may have edged his way onto the bench for Friday. Of the others who played, Phillips despite looking like he was desperate to get himself sent off, put in a ton of work. Again the best option for the bench on Friday over Grimes or O'Kane. Will defintitely miss Jansson, and can't see them keeping Derby under 2 goals without him. The decision to play him did kind-of backfire. I can't work out why Bartley didn't start instead. I hope Cooper is fit, on the basis, that we don't really have another option. It is amazing the bizarre ways that guy can manage to injure himself. KOT. No it was indeed 6. Shame, another illustration that nostalgia isn't what it used to be :) Damian On Mon, Jan 9, 2017 at 10:00 PM, Damian Walsh wrote: > Wasn't it 8? > > On Mon, Jan 9, 2017 at 9:24 PM, Rick Duniec (@ntl) > wrote: > >> 1-0 but at Selhurst Park not Plough Lane. >> Sutton was away and Clarkie hit a few in. 6-0 ? >> >> Haven't we played Sutton in the cup before?
