Agree ccompletely Simon. He's a poor fit for a team which needs some fight and 
discipline. Yes, on his day he can be very effective, but he's greedy, 
petulant, one-footed and slow - I fully expect it'll be adios in the summer!

Caught some of the Villa game at the weekend, and wonder how many now wish we'd 
employed Bagpuss Junior as our manager? OK, ex Manc etc, but he does appear to 
know what he's doing? Too late now of course, unless Villa go up, lose 20 games 
straight, by which time the Heckingbottom scenario will have played out one way 
or the other.

Now 2 up away at Bristol City - with 65 mins goneOnce again they have played 
some lovely possession football , all done at pace and with skill (ht stats had 
us at 57% possession - for what that is worth0First goal was a lovely move and 
a great cross that the defender looped into his own netThe second was even 
better, two sharp forward passes in and around the centre circle , the second 
pass fed Sam Dalby who raced onto it to put him with only the keeper to beat - 
unlike Wood earlier in this season or Ekuban more recently he was fast and 
confident and just dinked it over the keeper 
Before that Jack Clarke had beaten three men in the box and had a shot well 
saved
We look a very good team and play lovely football - no idea how many of these 
can make the step up BUT thye will be a treat if they do - as I type this Tyler 
Denton has just hit the barMy big complaint is that this football is totally 
different from what the first team are trying to doIt is the last u23 game of 
the season

Signing off in real style - 3 0 nowA proper team goal , not sure how many 
passes (lost count) ended with Madger Gomes getting to the byline and pulling 
back a cross that Tyler Denton fired home -the cross and finish not that 
dissimilar from the Alioski goal on Sat
Clarke, Rey & , Dalby should be given the last two 'dead games' - nothing to 
lose and will give them the feel for proper football

Another great move and another goal - same as the last one (3rd) in terms of 
scored by Denton laid on by GomesThe goals are / will be available to watch on 
LUTV via twitter @lufc - I have watched the Dalby goal  3 or 4 times now and it 
just gets better and better. The last two goals will be even more fun when they 
are posted
We really need these u23 players and the lads from the League winning u18s to 
go and make it into the first team - bit like the Smith / Woodgate lot and not 
fall by the wayside as the Youth Cup winners did (Whelan / Forrester et al)
Once they got the hang of it half way through the season the u23s have looked 
very good in the games I have seen and a 4 0 victory away from home sums it all 
up
