It made me smile too Betty.

Although not as much when he got knocked over early doors, and the next tackle
he went in at neck height ;-) Lucky he decided to pull out. Got away with a
second yellow later too - good management by Southgate to sub him. Whilst he’s
sometimes too cautious for my liking, he did play a few forward passes last
night too. I haven’t heard the West ‘Am rumour, but I suspect it’s inevitable
he’ll want game time before the Euros?

The actual interview I saw was of a lad saying something with a broad
grin. What he said made me smile too. He is a good lad and his career is
his business. Does anyone really think he would have stayed at SOTG had
he been facing a life in division 2?

I hope he does well (at West Ham if my spies are correct)

If he wanted to play football, he should never have joined Man City. He went
there to get rich, and he now is. Good luck to him. But he can’t cry about not
getting game time… that was absolutely inevitable.

Can't see where he's crying? He stayed at least twice when he could have gone
and got richer and helped us get to the Premier and still stayed. I think most
top athletes would try and make it at the very top of their sport, if he's
failed, then at least he tried. Was a fantastic servant to the Club.
