[LU] BPF

2019-08-01 Thread Kevin Lewis (UK SBS)
Not too worried about losing BPF. I think he's more reliable than Kiko, but
neither are good enough for a promotion team.
Bielsa seems to want Casilla in, come what may, so not sure he'll be even
looking to sign another keeper.

Even after losing BPF I don't think another keeper is as important as a
defender or a striker. But it looks like Bieslsa's stubbornness and the
seeming inability of the transfer team to complete any deals, means we are
going to start the season with a similar sized squad and number of injuries
that we finished last season with.

I’d be surprised if this was true and if it is why ? Not good enough for the
championship yet a PL team want to pay 3.5 million for him ?

Dave,
Did Kiko's performances towards the end of last season (especially Derby at
Elland Road) not count as "losing it altogether"?
I think this is a mistake. Casilla is supposedly the highest-paid player in the
squad, but proved last season that he is not a player upon whom we can rely
when the pressure is on. If one of our keepers had to go, I'd have sold
Casilla, and used the money to bring in a proven goalscorer with a record of
not getting injured.
Cheers!
Sean

He was decent enough for us but prone to mistakes especially with shots from
distance - maybe time and experience could sort that
He was not going to be 1st choice so not a great loss unless Kiko gets injured
, banned or loses it altogether
No idea if Huffer and Maziek are God enough
If the money allows us to get a good centre back or Ryan Kent then it is good
business,  if it just goes towards FFP or whatever then not so good

I had no confidence in him whatsoever. His command of the box was
non-existent. 3.5 million for him is good business.

2018-10-12 Thread Richard Naef
Bailey seemingly acquitted himself quite well in NI's 1-0 loss to Austria, I
think we've got a decent player there. Dallas played 90 minutes. It seems
strange that he is an ever present for his country, yet never really showed too
much at Leeds, you'd think the one player Bielsa could get more out of would be
him, and EL Loco obviously thinks so as he perseveres with him, so maybe it's
just the matter of more time?
