I remember that one Ted, although I always thought is was Harry Roberts is our friend, is our friend, he kills coppers! Never sang it myself as I don't think I knew who Harry Roberts was? It didn't half use to get the coppers riled though. Your Harry Roberts song recollection is accurate along with Shoots the bastards with a gun, with a gun, with a gun then I can't remember the sign off. Incidentally I've just discovered he's at Littlehey Prison which is just down the road from me. There's been quite a few incidents / scraps there over the last couple of years that the riot police got called in to put down, boiling sugar thrown at officers, one caught a TV on the back of his head etc. Lots of young offenders all being coached by Harry by the sounds of it. I think that even if the FA find him guilty Cellino will say (similar to Terry case) that although he said a racist thing he is not actually a racist and so will not sack him. Surely, if a player was clearly and openly racist the black players in the team , and probably others, would be complaining and refusing to work with him? I think that is in the wrong order - from what I have read and what I heard live. Thomas gave Bellusci a bit of a dig. Bellusci gave him a load of verbals and Thomas complained to ref who spoke to all inc benches. Then as soon as play restarted the ball came to Belusci and Thomas clattered into him and was booked. Completely agree with Rich - he can't defend, although in previous games he's had plenty to say to everyone else around him on the subject! The Jerome thing seems to be not good from an LUFC perspective - no doubt it will come out what has been alleged, If he said racist stuff then get rid - losing all the associations with the past means taking steps towards the moral/political high-ground and taking action, rather than defending players for the indefensible. All that said, we don't know the details yet. Coincidentally, I see that Verona had a hefty fine yesterday for racist abuse.
