Yes I do know there are several ways of doing mitres, I can do them on my
Woodrat and even the Dewalt Radial arm saw, however What I am trying to do ,is
to get the Revo doing things what can be done in other ways My latest thought
is making a Mitre Box similar to the Woodrat one, And Don The box itself is 1"
HDF with two threaded rods through at 45 Degees. I shall use 3/4" ply. threaded
rod and nuts ( to be collected tomorrow.) All one has to do is to place the
wood resting on the screwed rod between the two boards and that is about it

I agree with Curt. I can make miter joints on my LOM, but there are definitely
easier ways.

Hello Richard.

I try to never tell anyone, what cant be done... The Legacy is a wonderful
tool, that can do many things. but it was designed to do only a few things very
well, its the user of the tool that makes things happen, not the tool its self.

Having said that, I wouldn't even try to make a box on my Legacy. (but that's
me.) there are other ways to get the job done. I find the table saw or band saw
are easier to make square idioms with, then what it would be on the Legacy.

Here is a neat video on how to make small boxes using your table saw. (I'm sure
something like this could be done on the Legacy as well. but I have not tried
it before...)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfypMOcb75M enjoy the video and good luck
dreaming of a better way to get the job done. ;-)

talk to you, (and everyone else in the group) latter.

Hi All

I have to make a few boxes to contain drills taps and other metal work tools.I
have a Revo that can cut mitres at 45 degrees for framing ,but I want to cut
mitres for the corners of the boxes at 45 degrees.

The doing of finger joints is easy to do, How would you do 45 * mitres on a
Legacy, Revo or indeed, a Woodchuck
