ONE Note. If you heat the steel up to red and let it cool slowly the hardness 
will be removed form the steel. Then the drill bits could cut the steel more 
easily.
I have made a few lathe adaptors, for the Legacy drive spurs, I use Mine all 
the time.   Yours looks Very Nice.Keep up the good work.
