Dawn, I'm curious why you insist on sending messages to the list in HTML. Is it because you want to see how many people you can upset? Is it because you are hoping you can get someone to blow up at you for constantly being so inconsiderate and then you can get them banned from the list? Or is it you just don't care about your fellow list subscribers and have no concern if you send a virus to the list. Just curious, as I'm sure you have a reason for being inconsiderate. Re: [LegacyUG] Fwd: BOOK BUGS
Hi Ron . . . It worked, and THANKS . . . but now I've got a couple of new problems: 1. An Introduction page iust before the Table of Contents that only has a title Introduction on it, but then the regular Introduction Page appears (as listed in my Table of Contents) with my comments on it, What to do? 2. Now that I've got all the generations and can change that (GOOD), BUT it shows a strange chart that takes several pages back to Adam (according to my genealogy-interested son, Michael - who is in grad school) BUT part of it goes OFF the page, and I would like it in a larger font. Re: [LegacyUG] Importing multimedia files when using a new computer
The images are attached but from a location your new installation can't access, i.e. on another computer. You have to change the path to the files. Look under Customize/Locations/View Current List... The list will tell you where your picture folders are linked from on your old computer. It doesn't matter where you put the picture folder(s) on your new computer but you have to point Legacy to it/them. Don't move the pictures themselves to different folders because that will create an unlinked mess. Just put the folders, as they presently exist, somewhere on the new computer, wherever you like, and click the Change button on each folder, browse to the location and then click OK. - JL JLog - simple computer technology for genealogists http://www.jgen.ws/jlog Linda Mason wrote: I was hoping that someone will be able to tell me simply how to import my multimedia files back into Legacy 7. I have looked for a .usr file which may control the settings but cannot spot one - again somebody else may know. 2) I'm afraid that I just do not understand what you are saying here! If something goes off a page it is usually because the font is too large. With the Legacy Charts it appears that the font size is fixed, but I don't think that you can be using a Legacy chart so I really am at a loss as to what you mean. BTW I am not from South Africa but from England! Any ideas? I t's 6:30 AM here. What's it in South Africa? In a message dated 1/18/2009 3:41:10 A.M. Should I just stick with the Reports that work for mybook? No one can really advise you on what to include or not. You must decide for yourself what the contents of your Book are to be. However, if you have deleted something from your family file (an entry in someone's General Notes, for example) it cannot miraculously appear when you change view to Chronology. I think you need to check carefully whether the Notes you are seeing in the Chronology report do not actually exist in that individual's Notes. -- Jenny M Benson Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyfamilytree.com/ Onlinetechnical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp **A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above.
