How does one preview a gedcom to make sure it doesn't include people or items one didn't intend to be included? If I unlink an individual will that also remove his wife, her ancestors and children, if I select all attached family? Any other advice will be welcome. Diane, A Gedcom is only a text file and can be opened and read in any text file eg Notepad. However, the easiest (and cheapest) way may be to import it back into legacy giving it a different name and one can then look at the index. This would certainly be the best if it is a large file.
