Michele, Select 3 unused tags - I have used 1, 2 and 3. I am starting with myself. In Family View for myself, right click tag 1 and in the Advanced Tagging Screen select Ancestors then OK. In Family View go to the eldest gggrandparent in father's line, right click tag 2, and in the Advanced Tagging Screen select Desendants then OK. Go to Search>Find>Detailed Search, select: 1st Condition: Individual, Tag1, Equal to Tagged AND 2nd Condition: Individual, Tag2, Equal to, Tagged check that "clear list before this search is checked" Click Create On the new screen Click Options>Advanced Tagging and on the Advanced Tagging Screen select "Make changes on Tag 3". Click "Everyone in Search List" Print the report for everyone with tag3 checked. There is a much easier way to do this. Go to Tools, Relationship Calculator. On the left side put yourself, on the right put the DAR ancestor. Hit calculate relationships. It may start early, but hitting stop won't loose anything, just pause to re-start. When it is finished, you should see on the left yourself with the CORRECT ancestors lined up and on the right side only the DAR ancestor. pick print, bringing up choices what to include. In my testing, I used myself Rich, father William, his mother Bernice, her mother Pearl, her mother Emma, her mother Minerva (my 3rd great grandmother). Each of the spouses is included. Having done this task for my wife, it prints the 'correct' line, to assist in filling in the 'required' form. Michelle, I just turned in my papers and although I may have gone around the world to get there and I had to use the descendant chart, the Regent was happy. I formed a focus group starting with myself and took ancestors back the number of generations needed with spouses but not siblings. Then I opened a new file with that group and began to prune. First I unlinked my mother from her parents which cut that line completely. After that, go to your grandparents and unlink the spouse from his/her parents and so on back to the ancestor.
